The National Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) in Oyo State says it has registered 128,627 new voters since the commencement of its Continuous Voters Registration exercise on April 27, 2017.
The commission, in a statement issued in Ibadan on Thursday by Mr Surajudeen Junaid, acting Administrative Secretary, said the figure comprised of 68, 637 males and 59,990 females.
He disclosed that the next round of the CVR exercise would commence on Monday in all the commission’s offices across the 33 local government areas in the state.
Junaid implored eligible Nigerians who had yet to register to visit INEC office in their respective local governments to register.
He, however, warned Nigerians against indulging in multiple registration, saying it was an electoral offence.
