Liverpool have agreed a €160 million (£142m) deal to sell Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona, various outlets in Britain reported on Saturday.
If the deal goes through as expected, it will be the biggest-ever transfer involving a British club.
The Telegraph, Daily Mail and other outlets claim an announcement is expected to be made within hours.
Coutinho, who earlier withdrew from the Liverpool squad’s trip to Dubai for warm weather training, is expected to fly out to Barcelona later on Saturday evening to finalise terms, with the move including a big immediate down-payment and add-ons.
The deal comes after a long-running transfer saga, with the Brazil star not being able to move to Barcelona last summer following the world-record €222m sale of Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain.
