The Waziri of Adamawa, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, was on Sunday afternoon October 7 declared the winner of the Peoples Democratic Party National Elective Convention to become the party’s flag bearer for the 2019 elections.

The former Vice-President who was making his 4th attempt to become the presidential candidate defeated 11 other aspirants to set up a major showdown for Nigeria’s general elections which will take place in February 2019.
The victory of Atiku has since generated a lot of conversations and permutations as Nigerians on Twitter discuss the significance of his emergence as the PDP candidate.
Others like Ovation Publisher, Dele Momodu and Nigeria’s former Aviation minister, Femi Fani Kayode, sent Alhaji Abubakar congratulatory messages.
