Jos – Comrade Sunday Bala Oma, President Middle Liberation Group, has justified the reason behind the dragging of President Mohammadu Buhari before a Jos Federal High Court over Buhari’s WAEC Certificate scandal, saying his action was done to defend democracy and the rule of law under the current democracy.
Comrade Oma  in an interview with Daily Independent in Jos on Sunday said his group was interested in establishing before the Jos Federal High Court among other things to know whether President Buhari had given statutorily required information in the affidavit in support of personal particulars of a person seeking election to the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
According to him, his organization is seeking also a declaration from the court that General Muhammad Buhari has failed, refused and neglected to provide the necessary educational qualification to enable him contest the 2019 general elections pursuant to the provisions of section 31(5) and(6) of the electoral act 2019 as amended
The case was instituted at the Federal High court Jos on Friday 2nd of November .
Joined in the suit are All Progressives Congress and Independent Electoral Commission as 2nd and 3rd defendants.
