OLEH –Â Ovie Omo-Agege, Senator Representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has donated relief materials worth over N6 million to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Uwheru, Ohoror and Agadama communities in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
Mr. Chuks Erhire, Director General, Omo-Agege Campaign Organisation and state treasurer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who spoke at the IDP camps, the move was in response to the distress calls from the people who had been sacked from their homes by flood.
He said: “The flood has been a major challenge across the senatorial district and the senator has being going around to meet with people to find out their needs before and bringing in the necessary relief material to alleviate their suffering various IDP camps.
Items donated to the IDPs included bags of rice, garri, groundnut oil, noodles, tomatoes, soaps, detergents, biscuits, toothpastes, pampers, slippers, cartons of frozen fish, shaving sticks, jellies and others.
He stated that Omo-Agege also donated relief materials to Ophorigbala, Otutuama, Omosomo, and other communities in Ughelli South.
