Immediate past Governor of Delta State and Delta South All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate in the forthcoming 2019 polls, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, has narrated what late Chief Sunny Odogwu said the first day he landed in Asaba Airport from Lagos.
The former governor said Odogwu drove to his office (as then Delta State Governor) and told him: “Thank you Governor, I never expected that I will land with a plane into Asaba in my lifetime”.                   Â
Dr. Uduaghan who made the disclosure in a condolence message to the Odogwu family of Asaba on the demise of renowned businessman and owner of the famous Grand Hotels, Asaba, Chief Sunny Odogwu, averred that Late Chief Sunny Odogwu prepared his mind on what to experience in Asaba.
The message which was released to newsmen by Dr. Uduaghan’s Media Assistant, Mr. Monoyo Edon, further noted,” Ideh Ahaba was very supportive in the development of Asaba, especially in two landmark projects: Construction of the Ultra Modern Government House, Asaba and the Asaba Airport”.                    Â
While describing the death of Late Chief Odogwu as a great loss to Delta State and Nigeria, the APC Senatorial Candidate noted, “his commitment to the development of Delta State and Nigeria, made him give insightful suggestions and ideas that moved the State forward”.
