Of the four quarterfinal pairings of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, two of the pairings have never met at the AFCON while two have met several times.
But of the two pairings, Algeria tie against Cote d’ Ivoire has produced the highest number of meetings, seven in all at the AFCON. Cote d’ Ivoire have won three, lost twice with two draws.
Nigeria and South Africa have met twice with Nigeria winning both games, while Tunisia are meeting for the first time so also Senegal and Benin that kicks off the quarterfinal games this afternoon.
