Ohaa spoke when he paid condolence visits to the family of DCP Umar, Channels TV and the FCT police command.
“Day-in-day out, our people will make sure that this does not repeat itself because the FCT is housing Mr. President, the Senate, the Chief Justice of the Federation and all diplomats.”
At the FCT police command, he said: “We are saddened by this because DCP Usman Umar was one of the finest officers the police have produced in this country. We believe that he is in paradise because of his good works .
“You and your men should keep the flag flying, because without the police, Nigeria is in danger. Your officers and the rank and file should not be discouraged that one of their strongest patriots is gone.”
Responding, the Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, Mr. Adamu Ciroma, appreciated the visit, and promised to take the words of encouragement to the officers and men so that they would continue in the discharge of their duties.
