Following its demands for payment of earned allowances of its members, the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, SSANU, ABU Zaria chapter has threatened to embark on an indefinite strike action if their demands are not met.
Chairman of the union, Comrade Shuaibu Halilu, made this known at the Assembly Hall of the University in Zaria, shortly after an emergency congress meeting held at the Assembly hall of the university in Zaria.
Independent reports that, after the meeting, the congress also staged a peaceful protest and marched to the main gate of Ahmadu Bello University chanting solidarity songs and raising placards with various inscriptions.
