Sports: 'Magician' Tiger Woods has re-made his game and is suddenly playing his best golf in years

tiger woods

Tiger Woods is in contention at the Valspar Championship and hanging around with a game that has been "re-created."

  • Tiger Woods on Friday took the lead at the Valspar Championship.
  • While Woods' play on the first day was up-and-down, he finished tied for eighth and began the second day strong.
  • Golf Channel's Brandel Chamblee called Woods a "magician" and said Woods has re-created his game.
  • While Woods isn't all the way back yet, notably struggling with his driver, his latest play has been the most encouraging development in years.

Tiger Woods' latest comeback attempt is off and running and looking more encouraging than any of his bids in recent years.

As of Friday morning, Woods moved into sole possession of the lead at the Valspar Championship, shooting five-under through 14 holes.

Woods' first day at Valspar had a bit of everything as he finished one-under, tied for eighth, and three shots off the lead. He seemed to waffle between birdies and bogeys and was inaccurate at finding the fairways. Yet to expert observers, Woods looked different — and better — than he has in years.

"He's just re-created himself. I don't even recognize him anymore," Golf Channel analyst Brandel Chamblee told ESPN's "Golic and Wingo" on Friday.

"He's not driving the ball great, that's for sure. That's not there, that hasn't come back. But my goodness, he's turned into Seve Ballesteros — he's a magician out there."

The conditions didn't help on Thursday — Woods said, "I don't know if these people really understand how hard it was out there trying to pull a club, trying to figure out the wind direction, the gusts." Yet his short game looked good and he even had a few vintage Tiger shots, smacking the flag on the second shot from a fairway.

According to Chamblee, the two biggest concerns about Woods heading into the tournament were his back and his scrambling ability. In recent years, Woods has struggled to get back on track after missing the green, but on Thursday, it was his short game that looked strongest.

Chamblee also noted that Woods foraged into the thick to retrieve a ball, taking a risky shot to get it back onto the fairway. Chamblee believed Woods would not have risked the shot if his back was anything less than 100%.

On Friday, Woods' short game remained strong, sinking a putt for a birdie to move into a tie for the lead.

Chamblee insisted that if Woods wants to contend again, he'll have to improve with his driver. Given his history of back issues, and how early Woods still is into his comeback, that may be a later development.

However, considering Woods' roller-coaster ride over the past two years, from comebacks to positive rounds to more injuries and recoveries, his latest stretch of golf has been his best since arguably 2014.

On Friday, Chamblee forecasted how Woods could remain in contention.

"I'm sure he went home last night and said, 'Eh, that was kind of stinky,'" Chamblee said. "And he was in eighth place. So his bad golf is good … He's capable of playing bad golf and being in contention. Which means when he has that hot round, he'll be right up near the lead. I think he's still proven that he scares people."

It appears Friday is Woods' hot round.

Finance: Lloyd Blankfein is reportedly preparing to leave Goldman Sachs by the end of the year (GS)

Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein

Blankfein has led the bank for 12 years.

Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein is preparing to leave the firm as soon as the end of the year, The Wall Street Journal's Liz Hoffman and Joann Lublin reported on Friday.

He's had the job for 12 years.

Plans to replace Blankfein recently picked up as top board members believed his time at Goldman was nearing its end, the report said.

For a replacement, the bank is reportedly considering Goldman's two co-presidents, Harvey Schwartz and David Solomon. Both men were promoted after Gary Cohn resigned in early 2017 to serve as director of the National Economic Council and President Donald Trump's top economic adviser.

His exit is being coordinated to roughly coincide with Goldman's 150th anniversary in 2019. This timing is fluid and Blankfein, the report said, is in control of his departure.

More to come …

Finance: How much homes cost right now in the Hamptons, one of America's most elite summer vacation destinations

A summer house in the Hamptons is the ultimate luxury.

The Hamptons is home to celebrities, hedge fund managers, CEOs, socialites, and politicians. Here's the median asking price of houses for sale there right now.

  • The Hamptons is one of the most elite vacation destinations in America.
  • Many rich celebrities, hedge fund managers, CEOs, socialites, and politicians own multi-million dollar summer homes in the Hamptons.
  • The high volume of mansions in the Hamptons — and its waterfront locale — makes it one of the most expensive real estate markets in the US.

The Hamptons is the preeminent summer vacation destination in the tri-state area.

The Hamptons encompasses more than two dozen villages and hamlets on Long Island. While people live there year-round, it's the months between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend each year when visitors infuse the Hamptons with energy — and money.

The Hamptons is hallmarked by its countless famous and flush residents, including hedge fund managers, celebrities, CEOs, and socialites. Bill and Hillary Clinton have long vacationed on Georgica Beach in East Hampton. And Southampton even has its very own "Billionaire Lane" reserved for the rich and powerful.

Such prestige doesn't come cheap. At least seven towns in the Hamptons have a median home listing price of around $1 million. That means half the houses for sale in those places are priced under seven figures, and half are priced above. What's more, at least 11 towns have median home prices between $2.2 million to $5.6 million.

That's according to StreetEasy, which recently launched a new Hamptons platform, Out East, for sale and rental listings in the Hamptons. Out East provided Business Insider with a ranking of most expensive towns in the Hamptons based on median list price.

Below, we've featured the 21 towns in the Hamptons where the median list price is highest as of February 22, ranked from least expensive to most. Towns with fewer than 20 homes for sale were excluded from the list.

Big Brother Naija: Viewers react to Nina's alleged oral sex with Miracle, Cee-C gets into a fight with Ifu [Day 39 recap]

Nina Miracle have oral sex, Cee-C fights, Big Brother Naija

Viewers react to Nina's alleged oral sex with Miracle, Cee-C gets into a fight with Ifu, the anticipated debate presentation: Here's a recap of day 39.

Have you been following the new season of Big Brother Naija? Here are some important things you probably missed on day 39.

Check out a recap of day 39, including social media reactions.

Viewers respond to Nina 'giving Miracle a blow job'

Fans of Big Brother Naija took to Twitter to react to a clip of Nina supposedly giving Miracle a blow job.

The controversial video captured Nina in a compromising position with Miracle, beneath the duvet.

Biggie lifts the mood in the House with some good music

Things in the House have been very tense lately, especially, with the preparations for the task, the water restrictions and general cabin fever.

Before the anticipated debate on global warming, Biggie decided to lighten the house with some good music.

Obviously some Housemates were way more into it than others, for example, Alex began co-ordinating group dance moves with some of the housemates, including Alex, Ifu Ennada, Lolu, Tobi and Leo.

Between Tobi and Nina

After the music session, Nina and Tobi spent some time laughing as she braided his beard. Miracle and Anto were also in high spirits, laughing away at the situation.

Celebrating their mothers

A part of the Task presentation saw the Housemates all imitating and talking about their mothers. All the Housemates were running around the House crazily, screaming “I love you mom.”

The last part of their Task presentation was an imitation. All the Housemates were asked to imitate a women in their life and tell everyone something about that woman that inspires them.

Each housemate chose their mom. Miracle sang a song, Teddy A gave a shoutout to his mother, while the rest shared their emotional and interesting stories about their mothers.

Between Bambam and Lolu

BamBam confronted Loluabout the fact the he has never cooked in the House.

He tried defending himself, but the current Head of House told him that the kitchen is open at any time for anyone to cook, including him, who has literally never cooked for the Housemates.

Task presentation

Obviously this week was all about conservation and environmentalism and Biggie made sure the Housemates didn’t forget it.

As they all entered the Arena all ready for their task, they walked into a sea of garbage and were told to pick it all up. Biggie also tied the Housemates together and make them wear diving gear as they put the rubbish into the correct recyclable bins.

Finally, the housemates started the debate on global warming. While the host and all the speakers were all in accordance, the three judges, Alex, Cee-C and Nina were lacking significantly in both their effort and engagement in the Task. Biggie addressed them straight and told them that their questions were weak.

After all was said and done, Biggie told the Housemates that they would have to find out tomorrow [Friday] if they won the Wager.

In US: Church uses tithe offerings to buy cars for members

Church uses tithe offerings to buy 5 cars for members

While Nigerians are arguing about tithing, a church in Columbia is using its money to give away free cars.

A church in Columbia, Maryland uses tithe offerings to buy cars for members.

Thanks to this surprising “act of generosity”, attendees of Destiny Church received five vehicles, free of charge, after Sunday service on March 4, 2018.

In an interview with The Christian Post, the lead Pastor Stephen Chandler of the church, founded in 2011, explains the reasons for the giveaway.

He says the cars were the church’s way of celebrating its move into a permanent worship space, having previously been using a school gymnasium.

“One of our founding values as a church is that ‘We Are Outrageously Generous,’ and we strive to live that out in everything we do,” said Chandler.

“We wanted to mark the celebration with an act of generosity that overshadowed the great blessing of the building we received. Acts 20:35 says that it is better to give than to receive and that has truly turned out to be the case.”

The senior pastor further explains the giveaway which he says was meant to “let our community know that we at Destiny Church loved them and more importantly, that God loved them.”

“The greatest satisfaction at the end of each service was watching people leave, and them realizing that whether they won a car or not, there truly were no strings attached.

“We did not want anything from them, simply to demonstrate love towards them. If through this day people were able to hear that God’s love for them was not too good to be true, then we believe it was an overwhelming success.”

On using tithe to buy cars

Pastor Chandler said that the vehicles were bought at a used car dealership with ten percent of the money donated to the Church through tithing.

He explains: “Because generosity has always been a focus at Destiny Church, from our inception, we adopted the practice to set aside ten percent of all that we receive.

“These funds are for the purpose of generosity, missions, benevolence, and outreach and have been used over the years to plant churches both internationally and domestically, partner with great non-profit organizations, help those in need locally, and generally share the love of Christ outside of our walls. Part of this year’s generosity budget was used to purchase these vehicles.”

Four members and a family in need received a Chevy Cruze, Toyota Corolla, Nissan Sentra, Ford Escape and a Dodge Journey through a raffle system. Over 2,000 tickets were given away.

Reactions

The giveaway has received mixed reactions. Critics say the church is trying to get new members by bribing them with materialistic things.

“It’ a stretch. But I mean, if that’s what it takes nowadays — in the new age, you gotta come up with some kind of gimmick or incentive or whatever,” said Angella Cole, a nurse who works in Baltimore. “It’s a good way to get people’s attention. Should they do this every week? I doubt it.”

However, fellow senior pastor, David Anderson of a nearby church says it is a “wonderful thing to do” for a grand opening.

“I respect Pastor Chandler and the innovative ministry they have built,” he adds.

But that routine can get stale if you've been doing it the same way forever. In our new "Beauty: S.O.S." series, women share their top beauty frustrations with a makeup artist to get a real solution—really fast.

For the most part, we tend to have our makeup routines down pat. We generally wear the same products every day, in the same way—down to the eye shadow and lip color.

But that routine can get stale if you've been doing it the same way forever. In our new "Beauty: S.O.S." series, women share their top beauty frustrations with a makeup artist to get a real solution—really fast.

Eye cream is something that dermatologists all agree we should use to help moisturize sensitive eye skin and ward off fine lines. But, there's not much out there by way of what to use or how to use them—and more importantly, when to use them.

Marquita Hannibal-Francique, a teacher who lives in New York City, says that as part of her morning makeup routine, she always puts on eye cream, followed by her concealer. But, she admits to Glamsquad’s director of artistry, Kelli J. Bartlett, she feels like her concealer never lasts that long—something that doesn't come as a surprise to the makeup artist. Why? "It's because your eye cream and your concealer are actually competing with one another," Bartlett says.

"Your eye cream really does need that time to settle into the skin," Bartlett explains. Applying it in the morning, then putting more products on top of it, makes it harder for it to absorb into the skin and can make those other products dissolve more easily. That's why it's best to use eye creams at night, Bartlett says. Plus, your skin rejuvenates and repairs itself while you're sleeping (like the rest of your body), so "while your skin is working, it might as well have something to work with," she says. (For daytime, try this under-eye concealer from the Women's Health Boutique!)

There's also a specific way you should be applying your eye cream, Bartlett says. You don't want to apply just underneath your eyes where you may see puffiness or dark circles. Instead, you should apply eye cream all around the orbital bone to get at all the wrinkles and creases that crop up around your eyes.

Use your ring finger to dot your eye cream underneath and around your eye, Bartlett says. "It's your weakest finger," she says—perfect for applying products to the delicate eye area. With a patting motion, blend the cream in. Don't smear or pull the cream around your eye, which could irritate the skin.

Watch the video above for Bartlett's full eye-cream technique. And now that you know how to apply it, here are the eye creams you should be using, according to dermatologists.

Politics: Bipartisan group introduces bill to temporarily strip guns from individuals deemed threatening

WASHINGTON, DC - JANUARY 18: Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) speaks to reporters at the U.S. Capitol January 18, 2018 in Washington, DC. Congress is working to avoid a government shutdown ahead of a midnight Friday deadline. (Photo by Aaron P. Bernstein/Getty Images)

A bipartisan group of senators introduced a plan that would temporarily strip guns from individuals deemed to be a threat to themselves or others.

  • A bipartisan group of senators introduced a plan that would temporarily strip guns from individuals deemed to be a threat to themselves or others.
  • The order would require a hearing and evidence, or it would lapse after two weeks.

WASHINGTON — A bipartisan group of senators on Thursday introduced a new plan to immediately restrict access to firearms for individuals in certain crisis situations.

Sens. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, a Republican, and Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut, a Democrat, brought forth the "Federal Extreme Risk Protection Order Act," which would create a system for family members or household members to report a person thought to be a risk to themselves or others, which would prompt law enforcement to take their firearms and hold a swift hearing.

The plan would require the family member petitioning to provide "probable cause to believe that a person poses a risk of imminent injury to him/herself or others and that an [Extreme Risk Protection Order] is necessary to eliminate that danger," according to a summary of the legislation.

The ERPO would lapse after 14 days, with a hearing provided within 72 hours of its issuing. During the 14-day period, those deemed at risk would have to surrender any guns or ammunition to a US Marshal or designated law enforcement officer. If petitions are deemed frivolous or without foundation, accusers would face legal penalties.

Graham said he has spoken with Vice President Mike Pence about similar plans and that "it seeks to balance the Second Amendment rights of the individual with concerns from law enforcement and family members about those who may be experiencing a mental health crisis."

"The bill we introduce today is a starting point," he said. "It's the place where we begin a long-overdue discussion about firearms and mental health. But we must start."

Blumenthal called Republicans' openness to the plan a "bipartisan breakthrough" and "major promising development."

"The Parkland shooting illustrates why this law is important," Blumenthal said in a press conference, referencing the deadly school shooting in Parkland, Florida last month. "There were plenty of warning signs that Nikolas Cruz was a danger. There were people who obeyed the adage 'if you see something, say something.' The FBI received tips — so did local law enforcement — that Cruz was in fact threatening to do violence with guns. They said something but nobody did anything."

Political Aparthy: Here is why this situation has come to stay in Nigeria

Political aparthy in Nigeria

It is safe to assert that this country of ours isn't ruined by the bad but by the good who fails to do nothing.

It was  Bertolt Brecht who said that the worst illiterate is the political illiterate.

And according to him, the illiterate doesn't know that from his political ignorance is born the numerous illnesses that can afflict any given society: The prostitute, the abandoned child, the jobless man, and the worst thieves of all– the bad politician.

But then, what is political apathy?

Using our beloved Nigeria as a case study, political apathy can be said to be that self-defeating attitude of indifference to the processes that produce and empowers policymakers of all ranks.

Indifference to their policies and the implications which are so crucial in determining the path of Nigeria either to progress or away from it.

But just like every other action, the consequences of this attitude of not participating or rather being indifferent to politics has bred a sort of malignant cancer growth that eats the fabric of ethics and development in the country.

It has birthed a pain so intensified…a pain of dashed dreams and crucified hopes.

And while it seems like the people's representatives in government houses have secretly sworn to dispense outrageous suffering and injustice to the common man, he goes about concerning himself with just his business without realizing that the true power of the Nigerian state begs to be reclaimed.

Owing to this, it is safe to assert that this country of ours isn't ruined by the bad but by the good who fails to do nothing.

It should be infused into the consciousness of every Nigerian, from young to old, that just like bad governance, political apathy is one of the major challenges of democracy and its dividends in today's Nigeria.

And the dark root of this illness could be easily traced to the pre-independence era when the "First Republic" politicians tussled for power among themselves and stopped low to use cold-hearted methods to misinform, intimidate and subdue the populace.

This method which is void of anything good has thus been used so far as a weapon by almost every Nigerian politician, and it has resulted in planting a deep fear in the soul of the common man.

A fear that eclipsed the inconveniences that bad governance had produced.

For the Nigerian politicians are nothing but two mouthed, sly egomaniacs who concern themselves with just their personal interests than the welfare of the people.

Afterall they have the money and legal backing to command instruments of force.

They are ever ready to make a mockery of liberty, slow to provide security, and quick to reward thuggery.

Here are some of the causes of political apathy in Nigeria

1. Rigging of elections

This is a menace that has severely undermined the electoral process, leaving the electorates feeling unconfident that their votes don’t count.

2. Inadequate security measures during elections

There is a hidden belief among the electorates that going out to vote during elections can be unsafe.

And this is as a result of the history of violence,  snatching of ballot boxes, disruption of voting centres by thugs, etc.

3. Lack of credible candidate

It is not difficult to see that there has been a continuous cycle of politicians whose personalities are largely wanting in integrity in all the political party.

Therefore, given the choice between the devil and the deep blue sea, people would rather abstain.

4. Lack of good governance

Unarguably, this can be said to be the largest cause of political apathy: The failure of the politicians to provide good leadership.

The outcome of this has eroded trust and any willingness to oblige to the demands of patriotism.

5. Chaos in the political system

Owing to the fact that a political system is made up of different political parties, differences are bound to happen irrespective of whether the country is developed or not.

But in Nigeria, it is not a matter of differences: There is chaos is chaos in the country's political system; so much strife and fracas going in the government.

And this has led to a sort of reckless but understandable apathy from people who consider themselves powerless to bring order into the disorder.

With that being said, it is important to note that we may not get all we work for, but that which we get is what we've worked for.

True, the task of nation-building is a very difficult one…but all hands must be on deck, planning and planting trees that we may not get to sit under their shades.

For the purpose is not to bring betterment to just ourselves but to hand over a society that recognises and respect the God-given rights of all to our children and their children's children.

Undoubtedly, this dream can only be brought to fulfilment through a fearless patriotic participation in politics to ensure that bad governance is made uncomfortable and corruption eradicated at whatsoever cost the price may be.

Politics: China is 'weaponizing capital' — and it's keeping the head of the US Navy awake at night

A member of Pakistan Navy is seen at the Gwadar port in Pakistan's Balochistan Province

"When it comes to China, the bottom line there is the checkbook, to be very frank with you," the Navy secretary said Wednesday.

  • China has pursued numerous commercial and infrastructure deals around the world in recent years.
  • Critics see this as a Chinese effort to extent its influence abroad.
  • These financial maneuvers are a source of concern for many — including the head of the US Navy.

China's move to boost defense spending has sparked dismay among US officials in recent days, but it is Beijing's efforts to gain influence that are more worrisome, the secretary of the US Navy said on Wednesday.

China's finance ministry said this weekend that the country's defense budget will rise 6% to 1.1 trillion yuan or $173 billion. It is the biggest increase in three years and makes China's defense budget the world's second-largest — behind only the US.

Chinese state media defended the new budget as proportionate and low. "If calculated in per capita terms, China's military lags well behind other major countries," official English-language newspaper China Daily said this week.

On Tuesday, US Navy Adm. Scott Swift, the head of US Pacific Fleet, said the military budget lacked transparency and that China's "intent is not clearly understood."

On Wednesday, US Navy Secretary Richard V. Spencer — asked about Russian and Chinese activity in relation to the newest US National Security Strategy — echoed those concerns but pointed to a different kind of spending.

"When it comes to China, the bottom line there is the checkbook, to be very frank with you," Spencer told members of the House Appropriations Committee. "Not only in the dollar and cents that they are writing to support their military expansion and their technological [research and development] work, but what they're doing around the globe that I know you all are aware of, which is weaponizing capital, to be very frank with you."

Spencer pointed to a summer 2017 deal China signed with Sri Lanka, the island nation just south of India, where Beijing agreed to a 99-year lease to operate the strategically located deep-water port of Hambantota, which is located near important shipping routes in the Indian Ocean.

"Going into Sri Lanka, redoing the port, putting an interest rate — not as aid, but as a total secured loan with a pretty hefty coupon — [the] debtor fails on that, and the asset owner comes and reclaims it and says, 'These are now ours,'" Spencer told the committee of the deal. "They're doing that around the globe. So their open checkbook keeps me up at night."

Many Sri Lankans were themselves dismayed with the agreement, taking to the streets to protest what they saw as growing Chinese influence in their country. India, which has eyed Chinese infrastructure deals and military activity in South Asia and the Indian Ocean region warily, also objected.

"This is going to be a standing example for the other countries to watch, because China is not Father Christmas, handing out dollar bills. They want return on the money, and they want the money to come within a certain, certified period," K.C. Singh, former secretary at the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, said in July.

"Is it a model then for future extension of the Chinese strategic footprint?" Singh added. "When … countries can't return the money, then you grab territory?"

The port deal was a part of China's One Belt, One Road initiative, a project to link scores of countries in Asia, Oceania, Africa, and Europe through Chinese-backed railways, shipping routes, and infrastructure projects.

As a part of that effort, China has funded development projects in poorer countries, which it leverages for more advantageous relations or for regional access. The trend has also been called "debt-trap diplomacy."

Hambantota is not the only port deal secured by the Chinese government or a Chinese state-owned company in recent years. Beijing has spent hundreds of millions of dollars to win over locals and develop a deep-water port in Gwadar, on Pakistan's Indian Ocean coast.

The moves are a departure from China's usual approach to such foreign projects, but the focus has concerned India and the US, which see Beijing's investment in Gwadar as part of efforts to expand Chinese naval influence.

Chinese state firms are also growing their presence in Europe, buying up ports and cargo terminals on the Mediterranean and Atlantic coasts — including Spain, Italy, Greece, and Belgium.

Chinese state-owned enterprises now control about one-tenth of all European port capacity.

European leaders have become concerned Beijing plans to leverage its financial interests into political clout. Greece, where Chinese influence has grown in recent years, has blocked recent EU efforts to condemn China over its human-rights record and other policies.

US Marine Corps Commandant Gen. Robert Neller, speaking alongside Spencer, voiced similar concerns about China.

"The Chinese are playing the long game. They are, as the secretary said, everywhere I go, they're there," Neller said. "They're going and they're buying airfields and ports to extend their reach … they want to win without fighting."

Tech: 7 months after a sexual harassment scandal, the human resources startup BetterWorks has a new CEO

Doug Dennerline started his new role as CEO of BetterWorks on Wednesday.

Doug Dennerline, a former Cisco executive, addressed the BetterWorks staff at an all-hands on Wednesday.

BetterWorks has a new CEO, seven months after founder Kris Duggan announced that he would step down following sexual harassment allegations.

Doug Dennerline, a former Cisco and Salesforce executive, started his new job at BetterWorks on Wednesday with an all-hands meeting where he addressed the last few months and his ambitions moving forward.

"If there is a weird positive in all this, I would say you, in a lot of ways, are incredibly hyper-aware of harassment and sexual harassment issues, and understand that it's incredibly wrong," Dennerline told his staff in an all hands-meeting that reporters were invited to. "I've tried to live a life, and entire career, with that kind of high bar for myself, and I'm going to continue."

In his brief speech, Dennerline acknowledged that BetterWorks had lost some customers over concerns with company culture, and highlighted a company open mic, as well as a diversity and inclusion group as steps the staff has taken to address employee concerns.

Dennerline, previously CEO of the content management service Alfresco, first joined the BetterWorks board in October, just two months after Duggan announced that he would leave his role.

Duggan, who remains on the board of directors, told Business Insider that he is "excited" about his replacement, who he said was first recommended for the role by the BetterWorks vice president of sales Karen Richter.

BetterWorks has spent the last few months in a crisis of culture

BetterWorks, which sells cloud-based human resources software, has faced at least two separate lawsuits since the summer which allege an office culture tolerant of sexual harassment.

The first lawsuit from June 2017 was settled in February. It alleged that Duggan got drunk during an offsite work retreat, entered a cabin occupied by the plaintiff in the complaint, Beatrice Kim, and touched Kim's legs despite her asking him to stop. The lawsuit also charged that Duggan oversaw a company that tolerated jokes about women, rape, and female body parts and didn't take seriously women's complaints about sexual harassment.

Duggan has disputed several of the claims in the suit and said he stepped down as CEO only to "lessen the distraction" it was causing the company. Duggan remained at BetterWorks as its president until the end of 2017, and he still sits on its board.

The board also issued a statement that said an independent investigation found there was no violation of company policy.

"Following a thorough review of the facts by the independent investigator, and a review of the investigator's process by the board, the board concluded that there was no violation of the company's anti-harassment, anti-discrimination or any other policies. BetterWorks and its board are committed to fostering a positive work environment for all of its employees," the statement reads.

A second sexual harassment lawsuit was filed by an ex-employee and was approved in December to move forward, according to Bloomberg. That lawsuit named BetterWorks, Duggan, investor John Doerr and his firm Kleiner Perkins, as well as two other executives, and claimed that they ignored sexual harassment at the company.

Dennerline in his speech Wednesday said that all lawsuits against the company have been resolved.

Business: SEC extends e-dividend registration deadline to March 31

The source said that the main reason for the extension was to clear the backlogs and to work out details of how the parties involved in the exercise would get their share.

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has extended its free e-dividend registration deadline to March 31, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) learnt on Wednesday.

A senior management staff in the commission, who pleaded anonymity made the disclosure in an interview with NAN in Lagos.

The official said that the deadline was extended in principle for the third time for the operators to clear their e-dividend backlogs.

NAN reports that e-dividend refers to online payment of dividends to investors rather than through post.

The advantage of e-dividend is that it allows all accrued dividends to be credited to an investor’s bank account directly.

The aim is to stem the rising problem of unclaimed dividends in the capital market.
The source said that the main reason for the extension was to clear the backlogs and to work out details of how the parties involved in the exercise would get their share.

The source said the parties involved in exercise were the registrars and the Nigeria Interbank Settlement System, adding the appointed banks were currently working out the sharing formula for the registration fee.

He said that the commission would not come publicly to announce another extension, noting that no investor would be charged for delay in the registration until April 1.

The source said that low investors’ response to the exercise contributed to the commission’s decision to give room for enrolment of more investors.

SEC in June, 2017 extended the underwriting cost of investors’ e-dividend registration to Dec. 31, 2017 against the earlier deadline of June 30, 2017.

It also on Jan. 18 extended the deadline to Feb. 28, 2018, to encourage more shareholders’ participation in the scheme.

Erotic Story/Edymaniac: Dele's escapade with his wife's sister [Part 7]

Lola and Dele have been having a blast behind his wife's back. At a family function, they found a way to sneak somewhere they can for oral sex where family can't see them.

Dele reaches for Lola's head, entwining his fingers in her hair as he starts raising his ass off the bed. Their eyes meet and she pumps his dick in rapid motion with her lips wrapped around the head and her fingers stroking his balls. That's it.

He fucks his dick into his sister-in-law's mouth, spraying cum that she urgently gulps down while he holds her head in place. She sucks and swallows until he's completely drained and he falls back on the bed, panting as his head hits the soft pillow.

"Oh! Lola!" he sighs,

"That was so incredible." She's still sucking his dick, licking the last remnants of cum off the sides.

"I enjoyed it too," she says, crawling up beside him and wrapping her arm over his chest.

"How many times can you cum in a row?" She asks, while cuddling up to his side.

"I don't know," He answers honestly,

"I've never really had a chance to find out."

"We'll have to test you," She says  as she brushes her fingers through his chest hair.

"I like the way you think," He responds, putting his arm around her shoulder and pulling her closer to him.

"Mmmmm," she sighs. "I think we better shower, before I fall asleep and miss dinner."

"Yeah," He answers, looking at the clock.

"Lola, there aren't words to express…" She cuts him off before he can finish.

"Shhh," she says, putting her fingers to his lips. "I know," She whispers, "Believe me, I know."

Leaning up, she kisses him hard on the lips. Halfway through the kiss, she swings her legs over his body and stretches out on top of him, pressing her soft breasts against his chest and grinding her  pussy against his flaccid dick.

"We deserve this," She says, breaking the kiss.

"We've nothing to feel guilty about." He just nods and pulls her face back down to his. What an incredible woman!

The following evening, there's another family dinner. It's the first time Dele's been in the same room with Lola and Bisola since he and Lola became lovers. He struggles to maintain his composure all through dinner, barely engaging in any conversation. As soon as he can, he heads for the quietness of the balcony. Lola joins him moments later.

"You all right?" She laughs.

"You looked as stiff as a plank in there," She says, walking towards him but not taking out her customary cigarette.

"I'm fine," He answers.

"Don't you find it awkward or weird?" He asks, leaning against the railing and admiring the way her tight jeans show off her figure.

ALSO READ: Dele's escapade with his wife's sister [Part 5]

"Of course it's awkward," She says, stopping next to him and looking over her shoulder into the dining room window.

"You can see all four of them from here, can't you?" She asks quietly.

"Yes," He answers, confused by her question.

"Good," She says, squatting down and moving over in front of him.

"Tell me if any of them start to come out here," She says, tugging at his zipper.

"Lola!" He hisses in a whisper.

"What do you think you're doing?" He's nearly freaking out but his dick is already at attention. Lola's head is below the window and Dele realizes that while he leans against the railing looking into the house, they can't see her at all.

"This is better than a cigarette, any day," She smiles up at him as her hand gropes around inside his zip. Manoeuvring it through his boxers, she releases his hard dick to the air. "Speaking of stiff as a plank," she laughs and skillfully swipes her tongue across the tip of his dick.

"Oh shit!" Dele whispers.

"I can't believe you're doing this." He wants to close his eyes and enjoy the feeling of Lola's tongue swirling around his dick but he keeps them glued on his wife and in-laws, sitting around the dining room table.

Lola rapidly pumps Dele's dick in and out of her mouth while her tongue slide all around its most sensitive areas. Dele is trying to act normal and look like nothing is going on when what he really wants to do is grab Lola's head and fuck her warm mouth like he did yesterday.

Lola's sexuality has been reawakened by her encounters with her brother-in-law. She loves the sensuous feel of his hard dick in her mouth and the salty taste of his cum. She would like to take her time and prolong the pleasure but she knows she better make this fast.

ALSO READ: Dele's escapade with his wife's sister [Part 4]

Her expert tongue, coupled with the risk-taking thrill of doing this out in the open, has Dele ready to shoot his cum in minutes.

"Damn, Lola!" He breathes, closing his eyes for a moment as his dick swells and Lola pumps faster. Blasting a heavy load of cum into her mouth, he opens his eyes and panics when he doesn't see Bisola sitting at the table.

"YEEH!" he whispers, glancing all around.

"Bisola's not there!" He hisses, trying to push Lola's mouth away from his dick as his eyes search the room for his wife. Lola hangs on, keeping her lips around the end of his dick until the last little drop is out.

"Turn around and put it in," Lola orders as she springs to her feet and stands next to him, blocking the view of anyone coming through the door.

"Been saving that up, have you?" she whispers, squeezing his ass cheek and licking the last bit of cum from around her mouth just as the sliding glass door opens. To innocent eyes, they look like two normal people admiring the view.

"Here they are!" Bisola says, leading her brother out onto the deck. "We always seem to lose you two," she smiles.

"I bet you hardly missed us," Dele says, turning around to face his wife with his trouser looking perfectly normal. He catches Lola's eye and wipes his cheek, hoping she'll take the hint and clean off the splash of cum clinging to her dimple. She gets it just in time as her husband walks up next to her. Gosh! that was close. Dele breathes a sigh of relief.

"Oh, I know how you feel about those discussions," Bisola laughs as she changes the subject and asks the group how they feel about going to a holiday resort together for a week this vacation. Lola says she's all for it, smiling at Dele and almost not noticeably raising one eyebrow.

They all agree it's a great idea and Lola and Bisola arrange to have lunch next week to discuss the details.

At home in bed and still aroused from the impromptu blowjob at his in-law's house, Dele thrusts his hard dick into his wife's gel-lubricated pussy. Mentally re-experiencing the feel of Lola's tongue swirling around his dick, he thrusts into his wife with fresh energy.

ALSO READ: Dele's escapade with his wife's sister [Part 3]

Her lack of response is blotted out by the images in his head as he recalls the two recent meeting with his sister-in-law and the taste and aroma of her aroused pussy.

Bisola doesn't know what's gotten into Dele lately but she's finding it harder and harder to control herself during his passionate lovemaking. Her body is fighting her brain as her insides warm to his forceful pounding, emanating natural lubricant and unfamiliar arousal.

She tries to think of something to force her brain to respond. She focuses on their vacation and her lunch next week with Lola. As her juices ooze around her husband's pounding dick, she holds perfectly still and wonders about Yinka and Lola's lovemaking.
