The statement said APC-USA members, at the convention, called on Nigerians to continue to support the Buhari/Osinbajo government and the party as they continue to position Nigeria for development and greatness in the 21st century.
According to them, the Buhari administration had stabilized the Nigeria economy and that the single payer account system of the Federal Government had saved Nigeria a lot of money by blocking the loopholes through which the corrupt elements syphoned money.
They equally said that the rapid infrastructural developments and the gigantic progress in the agricultural sector, and the war against corruption and terrorism of the Buhari administration must continue.
Speaking further, the statement called on Nigerians to reject the current gang up against President Buhari and the APC by those it called corrupt and discredited politicians and some corrupt high profile individuals in the country.
“These are the people that plundered our commonwealth and looted our treasury making Nigeria one of the poorest countries in the world despite the abundant natural and human resources in the country,” it said.
It called on Nigerians to take their destinies in their hands and reject the PDP and its candidates at all levels, saying: “We cannot afford to go back to the sixteen years of destruction and unabated looting by the PDP during Obasanjo and Jonathan administrations. When you fight corruption, corruption fights back.”
The statement, therefore, reiterated the APC-USA’s commitment to continue to support Buhari and APC candidates at all levels and to make the expertise and the technical knowledge of its members available to the party-led governments at all levels to help in executing their programmes for the country.
