The Dirtiest Players in the Premier League By This Point

The dirtiest players in the Premier League don’t seem to mind the fact that most Premier League fans actually can’t stand them. For them, it’s possible that this is the only real way that they’re going to stand out anyway, and they might want to make the most of it.

The list of the dirtiest players will keep on changing. Even this is a set of statistics that players will not be able to fully control. They will all have to accept that their honors will eventually be taken away from them as other people surpass them.

Gareth Barry actually appears to be the worst player in the League when it comes to his dirtiness quotient, at least according to some measures. However, this is partly a consequence of the fact that he has had a relatively long career. It’s possible that there are plenty of other players that will catch up to him eventually.

Some people would therefore say that his inclusion is unfair, since he has been in the game so long that he’s racked up a lot of ‘dirty points’ as a result. Still, someone has to take the lead, and the specific type of ranking that people use will often be fairly arbitrary.

It’s interesting to look at the different dirty players in the context of the specific positions that they play in an attempt to notice some sort of a pattern. For instance, there are midfielders that are considered quite dirty within the League, such as Lee Bowyer. Since Gareth Barry is also a midfielder, people might suspect that there is something of a pattern emerging. They might have their eyes on other midfielders.

Of course, it might be hard to say that this is absolutely the case, since there are still a lot of other players from other positions that have a lot of dirty points between them as well. In time, they might certainly catch up to Gareth Barry.

Some center forwards and tacklers also fall into this category, for instance. It seems that it might be difficult to figure out who is going to be a dirty player based on his position. That’s positive, actually, since it means that people will have a harder time predicting exactly who is going to be a dirty player and who is going to be the pinnacle of sportsmanship.

It’s hard to anticipate who is going to be a dirty player in general. Players can all come from various backgrounds, and it seems that the dirty players come from different backgrounds as well. People also might struggle when it comes to figuring out who is going to be particularly infamous for their records.

After all, some dirty players tend to stand out more than others, and it is not always purely a function of whether or not the players have the most dramatic statistics. Of course, the Information Age is making it easier for people to talk about the statistics of players in general. The infamy of different players may be extended as a result.
