UNIBEN medical students ordered to evacuate their hostels

Some students told newsmen that the complex which was built at the cost of N1.3b houses a few medical students.

Medical students of the University of Benin have been chased out of their hostels.

According to Vanguard, the 186 rooms hostel complex was constructed in 2013, by the management of the Niger-Delta Development Commission (NDDC) for the medical students.

According to Trends44, a student said “Rooms are being given to students from other faculties, and medical students have been asked to evacuate the temporary inadequate hostels provided latest by Friday.

“Medical students who have their professional exams to write, next month, don't have a place to stay.”

The medical students were seen in clusters protesting their evacuation from the hostel.
