Mike Bamiloye: Church instrumentalists react after Mount Zion Pastor slams them

Church instrumentalists react after Pastor Bamiloye's comments

The founder of Mount Zion Faith Ministry made some observations over the attitude of Church instrumentalists via his Facebook page.

Church instrumentalists have reacted after Mount Zion’s Pastor Mike Bamiloye commented on their attitude.

On March 29, 2018, the drama minister and founder of Mount Zion Faith Ministry expressed his displeasure with these performers via his Facebook page.

In a post titled: “I have a serious concern,” he made some observations concerning instrumentalists, particularly the fact that they rarely answer altar calls.

He wrote, “The Church Instrumentalists. Those Young Men and Boys that play Musical instruments in the Church. I don’t Understand Many of Them.

I come Across them everywhere I have gone. As if their Attitudes have been Universally Agreed upon. You will be Preaching, They will be Fiddling with Guitar Strings.

You will be Teaching, many of them will be Sleeping or browsing. Messages of great importance will be blaring out to the Congregation,

They will be using their Keyboard to Confirm what the Preachers are saying. When Everyone is in sober reflections on the vital message, they will be playing Nollywood mood music.

AND THE ALTAR CALL IS MADE AND PEOPLE ARE COMING OUT FOR SALVATION OR REDEDICATION OF LIFE, THEY WILL BEGIN TO PLAY: I Surrender All…” TO ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO THE ALTAR.

BUT THEY MOST OF THE TIME DONT SEE THE REASON FOR THEM TO REDEDICATE THEIR LIVES TO JESUS. AND THEY RARELY COME OUT FOR ALTAR CALLS. I am Sorry, Maybe it is Only me that has observed this.”

Church instrumentalists react to Pastor Bamiloye’s comments

The performers took to the comment section to respond to the cleric’s observations.

One named Alldebest Ajite wrote, “I am keyboardist this happen to me. But as from today, I will change and God will take control of my life so that I can play my organ with Angel on resurrection day. Please pray for me.”

Another named Emma Mike Ayodele said, “I am an instrumentalist. before when I was not saved I play a lot of alujo, worldly beats to make people dance rubbish because the beat will determine the dance. but when I encounter Jesus and saved, my boss (King David) taught me how to play in spirit with my heart. I play exactly holy spirit wants. I can a play a beat throughout and holy spirit will move. thank God for his grace.”

Samuel Byiringiro wrote, “It’ s not about music. Me I’m a keyboard player in my church but that’ s not how I am. It’ s true there are some who play without even being born again but note that there are some others filled with the Holy Ghost. Music ministry is not a problem, the problem is musicians who are not Christ- conscious. Thank you, Sir.”

On Instagram, a user wrote, “Pastor pls we don’t like mixing “job” II mean working hour and worship… if I fall under anointing my pastor go sack me. Everybody has a call… just that mine was mistakenly not written in the bible.”

Pastor Bamiloye is yet to respond to their comments.
