Erotic Story/Edymaniac: Dele's escapade with his wife's sister [Part 7]

Lola and Dele have been having a blast behind his wife's back. At a family function, they found a way to sneak somewhere they can for oral sex where family can't see them.

Dele reaches for Lola's head, entwining his fingers in her hair as he starts raising his ass off the bed. Their eyes meet and she pumps his dick in rapid motion with her lips wrapped around the head and her fingers stroking his balls. That's it.

He fucks his dick into his sister-in-law's mouth, spraying cum that she urgently gulps down while he holds her head in place. She sucks and swallows until he's completely drained and he falls back on the bed, panting as his head hits the soft pillow.

"Oh! Lola!" he sighs,

"That was so incredible." She's still sucking his dick, licking the last remnants of cum off the sides.

"I enjoyed it too," she says, crawling up beside him and wrapping her arm over his chest.

"How many times can you cum in a row?" She asks, while cuddling up to his side.

"I don't know," He answers honestly,

"I've never really had a chance to find out."

"We'll have to test you," She says  as she brushes her fingers through his chest hair.

"I like the way you think," He responds, putting his arm around her shoulder and pulling her closer to him.

"Mmmmm," she sighs. "I think we better shower, before I fall asleep and miss dinner."

"Yeah," He answers, looking at the clock.

"Lola, there aren't words to express…" She cuts him off before he can finish.

"Shhh," she says, putting her fingers to his lips. "I know," She whispers, "Believe me, I know."

Leaning up, she kisses him hard on the lips. Halfway through the kiss, she swings her legs over his body and stretches out on top of him, pressing her soft breasts against his chest and grinding her  pussy against his flaccid dick.

"We deserve this," She says, breaking the kiss.

"We've nothing to feel guilty about." He just nods and pulls her face back down to his. What an incredible woman!

The following evening, there's another family dinner. It's the first time Dele's been in the same room with Lola and Bisola since he and Lola became lovers. He struggles to maintain his composure all through dinner, barely engaging in any conversation. As soon as he can, he heads for the quietness of the balcony. Lola joins him moments later.

"You all right?" She laughs.

"You looked as stiff as a plank in there," She says, walking towards him but not taking out her customary cigarette.

"I'm fine," He answers.

"Don't you find it awkward or weird?" He asks, leaning against the railing and admiring the way her tight jeans show off her figure.

ALSO READ: Dele's escapade with his wife's sister [Part 5]

"Of course it's awkward," She says, stopping next to him and looking over her shoulder into the dining room window.

"You can see all four of them from here, can't you?" She asks quietly.

"Yes," He answers, confused by her question.

"Good," She says, squatting down and moving over in front of him.

"Tell me if any of them start to come out here," She says, tugging at his zipper.

"Lola!" He hisses in a whisper.

"What do you think you're doing?" He's nearly freaking out but his dick is already at attention. Lola's head is below the window and Dele realizes that while he leans against the railing looking into the house, they can't see her at all.

"This is better than a cigarette, any day," She smiles up at him as her hand gropes around inside his zip. Manoeuvring it through his boxers, she releases his hard dick to the air. "Speaking of stiff as a plank," she laughs and skillfully swipes her tongue across the tip of his dick.

"Oh shit!" Dele whispers.

"I can't believe you're doing this." He wants to close his eyes and enjoy the feeling of Lola's tongue swirling around his dick but he keeps them glued on his wife and in-laws, sitting around the dining room table.

Lola rapidly pumps Dele's dick in and out of her mouth while her tongue slide all around its most sensitive areas. Dele is trying to act normal and look like nothing is going on when what he really wants to do is grab Lola's head and fuck her warm mouth like he did yesterday.

Lola's sexuality has been reawakened by her encounters with her brother-in-law. She loves the sensuous feel of his hard dick in her mouth and the salty taste of his cum. She would like to take her time and prolong the pleasure but she knows she better make this fast.

ALSO READ: Dele's escapade with his wife's sister [Part 4]

Her expert tongue, coupled with the risk-taking thrill of doing this out in the open, has Dele ready to shoot his cum in minutes.

"Damn, Lola!" He breathes, closing his eyes for a moment as his dick swells and Lola pumps faster. Blasting a heavy load of cum into her mouth, he opens his eyes and panics when he doesn't see Bisola sitting at the table.

"YEEH!" he whispers, glancing all around.

"Bisola's not there!" He hisses, trying to push Lola's mouth away from his dick as his eyes search the room for his wife. Lola hangs on, keeping her lips around the end of his dick until the last little drop is out.

"Turn around and put it in," Lola orders as she springs to her feet and stands next to him, blocking the view of anyone coming through the door.

"Been saving that up, have you?" she whispers, squeezing his ass cheek and licking the last bit of cum from around her mouth just as the sliding glass door opens. To innocent eyes, they look like two normal people admiring the view.

"Here they are!" Bisola says, leading her brother out onto the deck. "We always seem to lose you two," she smiles.

"I bet you hardly missed us," Dele says, turning around to face his wife with his trouser looking perfectly normal. He catches Lola's eye and wipes his cheek, hoping she'll take the hint and clean off the splash of cum clinging to her dimple. She gets it just in time as her husband walks up next to her. Gosh! that was close. Dele breathes a sigh of relief.

"Oh, I know how you feel about those discussions," Bisola laughs as she changes the subject and asks the group how they feel about going to a holiday resort together for a week this vacation. Lola says she's all for it, smiling at Dele and almost not noticeably raising one eyebrow.

They all agree it's a great idea and Lola and Bisola arrange to have lunch next week to discuss the details.

At home in bed and still aroused from the impromptu blowjob at his in-law's house, Dele thrusts his hard dick into his wife's gel-lubricated pussy. Mentally re-experiencing the feel of Lola's tongue swirling around his dick, he thrusts into his wife with fresh energy.

ALSO READ: Dele's escapade with his wife's sister [Part 3]

Her lack of response is blotted out by the images in his head as he recalls the two recent meeting with his sister-in-law and the taste and aroma of her aroused pussy.

Bisola doesn't know what's gotten into Dele lately but she's finding it harder and harder to control herself during his passionate lovemaking. Her body is fighting her brain as her insides warm to his forceful pounding, emanating natural lubricant and unfamiliar arousal.

She tries to think of something to force her brain to respond. She focuses on their vacation and her lunch next week with Lola. As her juices ooze around her husband's pounding dick, she holds perfectly still and wonders about Yinka and Lola's lovemaking.

Save Halimat from Stroke

Oyewole Shadiat Halimat is the first born in a family of three,She is a first class graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure. She graduated as the best graduating student in the Mechanical Engineering department class 2015; A class which boasted over 110 students which I was a part of. below is her story as related by her.

The history of sickness dated back to 2013, I have been having a recurring malaria and typhoid which kept keeping me out of school for most of the semesters but I kept my head high and struggled to keep my grades up during this time. I spent most of the time in school clinic and state hospital. On a fateful day at IDH (Mainland Hospital) we were asked to do some tests, returning back to the hospital we were asked to sit, all of a sudden I just fainted. They took me to one of the beds, at this point I don’t know anything that I was going on again. My dress has been changed, giving me injections and taking drugs. They had discovered that I have been suffering from abdominal tuberculosis all along.

As I was treating the abdominal tuberculosis, they noticed I have had partial amnesia, that I could not talk, could not identify people, I discovered that my right hand and leg could not move properly again. During this treatment, I developed sore at the buttocks which I had to treat. The treatment continued, to help me remember who was who and what was what before I left the hospital. Since then till this very moment, my parents have spent all the money they have on me and right now the one time potential savior of the family turned to the one eating up the little resources the family has. During this time, some of my University colleagues have contributed to keep me on my feet.

I had my Appendectomy operation in august 2015 and spent weeks for the operation to heal. I returned to school, a month after my stomach started developing pains and I started feeling weak by the day. Immediately I finished all I needed to do in school, I left for home.

Three (3) months after I got home, I developed the stroke, this first thing was to call physiotherapist at home to check what was happening. Later the LASUTH (Lagos State University Teaching Hospital Ikeja) continues with different exercises and different tests which were carried out at Lasuth and ME Cure. The LUTH also carried out different exercises and tests for the treatment.

I discovered a stroke treatment in the Institute of Neurological Discovery, Boca Raton, Florida. This treatment is a therapeutic intervention that can even heal people after years of the stroke. The INR accepts patients for treatment from all parts of the world, and has treated patients from Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and South America, in addition to patients from the United States and Canada.

The nurse gave me an approximate treatment fee which is $10,000 US Dollars. My parents and family members cannot afford this treatment and I want to appeal to everyone out there to please help me to get better by contributing towards this treatment cost.  God bless you as you contribute towards my getting better.

Halimat needs to get this treatment as soon as possible so that she can get back on her feet to become the fecund Engineer and world changer she has always promised to be. It is sad to see her in this state and I hope we can get to save her.

Thanks.

Politics: Trump's top economic adviser, Gary Cohn, is leaving the White House

null

Gary Cohn, the Goldman Sachs executive turned top economic adviser, is leaving the White House.

  • Gary Cohn, Trump's top economic advisor and a former Goldman Sachs executive, is departing his position at the White House.
  • The move comes after a tumultuous year as the National Economic Council director, which included fights with Trump over his response to Charlottesville and the passage of a massive tax overhaul.

Gary Cohn, the director of the National Economic Council and President Donald Trump's top economic adviser, is leaving his post at the White House.

The move comes after an up-and-down year in the administration that included public spats with the president and a large legislative success in the form of a tax code overhaul.

Recently, Cohn was unable to convince the president to forgo tariffs on imports of steel and aluminum. Cohn attempted to convince Trump that such tariffs would be damaging to the US economy, but Trump went ahead with the new trade barriers over the objections.

"It has been an honor to serve my country and enact pro-growth economic policies to benefit the American people, in particular the passage of historic tax reform," Cohn said in a statement. "I am grateful to the President for giving me this opportunity and wish him and the Administration great success in the future."

Cohn attempted to set up a last-ditch effort to get Trump to soften the tariffs by setting up a meeting with business executives who would be hurt by the new tariffs, which function as a tax on imports. But, according to Axios' Jonathan Swan, Trump cancelled the meeting on Wednesday.

"Gary has been my chief economic adviser and did a superb job in driving our agenda, helping to deliver historic tax cuts and reforms and unleashing the American economy once again," Trump said in a statement. "He is a rare talent, and I thank him for his dedicated service to the American people."

A White House official told Business Insider that Cohn had been discussing a possible exit with Trump for the past few weeks and a departure date has not been set.

Cohn was brought in from Goldman Sachs to help shape Trump's economic agenda on trade, taxes, and more.

When he joined the Trump administration, Cohn, a former Goldman Sachs chief operating officer and the grandson of a Polish immigrant, was seen as a moderating force that would balance the anti-globalist wing of the administration. One early Trump adviser critical of Cohn's appointment told Yahoo News' Hunter Walker in April that he "would be too liberal for the Obama administration."

The early parts of his tenure were marked by rumors that the former commodities trader could be promoted to chief of staff or take over for soon-to-depart Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen.

According to the New York Times, which first reported the departure, Cohn held renewed talks with Trump about the chief of staff role after the recent controversy surrounding John Kelly's role in the Rob Porter domestic abuse scandal.

"Gary has served his country with great distinction, dedicating his skill and leadership to grow the US economy and pass historic tax reform," Kelly said in a statement Tuesday. "I will miss having him as a partner in the White House, but he departs having made a real impact in the lives of the American people."

Cohn's relationship with Trump hit a rough patch, however, when it was reported that he was dismayed at the president's response to the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, last August. He criticized the president's statements about the violence in an interview with the Financial Times.

The interview led to Cohn falling out of Trump's favor and bumped him from the top of the list to replace Janet Yellen as chair of the Federal Reserve.

Cohn's Jewish faith also made him a target of white supremacists during his time in the administration.

He was reportedly "disgusted" with Trump's statements during a press conference, during which he said there were "two sides to a story" of what happened in Charlottesville. Trump also placed some of the blame on the counterprotesters while refusing to categorically condemn the protesters, one of whom authorities say killed a woman when he drove a car into a crowd of counterprotesters.

Trump's comments at the press conference cost him the support of CEOs, leading to the dissolution of two business-advisory councils.

Cohn was at the press conference, which was meant to promote an infrastructure plan, but it quickly went off the rails as reporters questioned Trump's response to the violence at the "Unite the Right" rally.

Later in the year, Cohn was a key figure in spearheading the development of the Republican tax law working with congressional Republican leaders and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin to craft what the GOP says is the largest overhaul of the tax code since 1986.

There were rumors during the fight over the bill that Cohn was already eyeing an exit as soon as the tax bill passed Congress.

Cohn departs as a favorite among investors. Analysts say Wall Street believes Cohn is one of the driving forces of the deregulation effort in the White House and serves as a counterweight to the protectionist trade wing of Trump's inner circle.

Love & Dating: Why celibacy before marriage is a great idea

Reasons why celibacy before marriage remains a brilliant idea

All the reasons why celibacy before marriage remains such a beautiful, brilliant idea.

Sex before marriage may seem like the new cool but premarital celibacy still has great merits.

The traditional/religious view that lovers should keep their hands off each other may no longer apply to many relationships these days; and this is because more young people are confidently exploring their sexuality and getting in tune with that part of themselves and that is just fine for those who choose to roll that way.

While that may be a thing, it is also still OK to crave celibacy before marriage and if that is what your aim is, these are six reasons why it is such a great idea:

1. Communication is better

Without sexual activity, time spent together will be used on other things such as more deep, soul-searching conversations and stronger bonds.

2. Better friendship

Where communication thrives, it is only normal for friendship levels to rise, too. So you and your partner are not just burning bright on the sparks flying when you kiss andhave each other's hands roving over each other, you glow off the positive vibes created by the other person.

3. Your connection is deeper

Imagine the closeness and intimacy built over shared dreams and expressed fears and revealed truths and secrets… it can only make you a lot closer and more intimate with your partner.

ALSO READ: How to increase intimacy in a relationship without sex

4. No illusions

This is what you get when there is no chance of sex clouding your judgement in a relationship.

5. Hurts less if you break up

For people who attach self esteem to body count, you can be sure that id anything happens, your body count would remain intact.

6. More ways to show affection

Without sex, you’d have no option but to access other ways of expressing love and affection and this can only be good for your relationship.

Politics: Former Ohio state senator explains why governing 'in the pocket of the NRA' 'endangered people across the state'

A man with a NRA cap holds his gun while people with their AR-15-style rifles pray during a blessing ceremony at the Sanctuary Church in Newfoundland, Pennsylvania on February 28, 2018.

Ex-Ohio lawmaker Marc Dann wrote in a column that he regrets aligning himself with the NRA while he was in office to advance his political career.

  • An ex-Ohio lawmaker wrote in a column for Cleveland.com that he regrets aligning himself with the National Rifle Association while he was in office to advance his political career.
  • Marc Dann, a Democrat, said he even voted for legislation he believed would endanger "people across the state" because he feared the political consequences of opposing gun groups.
  • The NRA called Dann's column "a desperate attention-seeking ploy by a has-been politician."

A former Ohio lawmaker says he regrets making a "devil's bargain" while he was in office to adopt pro-gun positions and appease the National Rifle Association, even though their views often made him "uncomfortable."

Marc Dann, a Democrat who served in the Ohio Senate between 2003 and 2006, wrote in a column published Sunday that he won multiple elections because the NRA and similar groups "educated" voters about his purported pro-gun views.

"While I didn't enter politics to be an advocate for the NRA, I quickly learned that unless I became one, I wouldn't be around to advocate for the issues I did care about," Dann wrote on Cleveland.com. "I soon learned however, that in making a deal with the devil to advance my political career, I had abandoned my principles and sold my soul."

Dann's column came just weeks after a gunman killed 17 people at a high school in Parkland, Florida with an AR-15 rifle he purchased legally. The massacre set off a roiling national debate about gun-control legislation and Second Amendment rights.

Dann wrote that voters in his rural district staunchly opposed any gun-control reforms, often voted purely on the issue of gun rights, and "inundated" his office with calls and letters.

Much of their fervor, he said, was because gun-advocacy groups spent "blood money" they received from gunmakers to "misinform and then motivate" voters.

Dann said his alignment with the NRA and other local gun groups caused him to vote for a bill in 2006 that overturned an assault weapons ban, despite his belief that it "endangered people across the state."

"I know now, after far too many lives have been sacrificed on the altar of the NRA's lies, that I should have pushed back," Dann said. "I should have told my constituents they were being duped by shills for a firearms industry that profits from fear-mongering and murder."

On Monday, the NRA called Dann's column "a desperate attention-seeking ploy by a has-been politician" who left office 10 years ago amid scandal.

Dann resigned as Ohio's attorney general in 2008 following an extramarital affair Dann admitted to having with a subordinate, and sexual harassment allegations against another aide in his office.

Abdullahi Ganduje: Governor says Kano’s population is its greatest asset

Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje.

Ganduje made the remarks on Tuesday when he visited 150 young men and women sponsored by his administration for skills training at Peugeot Automobile of Nigeria (PAN) in Kaduna.

Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, on Tuesday pledged to deploy the state’s population to stimulate the economy and ensure growth and development.

He also pledged to offer women equal opportunities to attain their potentials in life.

Ganduje made the remarks on Tuesday when he visited 150 young men and women sponsored by his administration for skills training at Peugeot Automobile of Nigeria (PAN) in Kaduna.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) report that out of the 150 trainees, 100 are males, and 50 females.

“Population can be a liability, but we are making our population an asset, and the best way to make our population to be an asset is by developing skills acquisition among our youth.

“We assure you, we are training you not only for you to work but also to employ others.

“This government is very serious on women empowerment; days are gone when women still rely on meagre resources.

“We want you to be earning good income, it is necessary for women, that is why we are exposing them to all kinds of legitimate trades so as to earn a living.

“Once you are earning good income; it will contribute to peaceful co-existence with your husbands and families and that is what this government is doing.’’

The governor disclosed that the government has built a N5 billion skills acquisition centre to empower and create enabling environment for sustainable skills in the state.

Ganduje said his dream was to make Kano the hub of international trade attracting investors and traders from across the globe to the city.

The governor faulted the current curriculum in the country’s education system, saying it can no longer sustain Nigeria’s manpower development needs.

“So we want to break from that, the only way we can do it is to modify our curriculum.

“To see that we have identified the necessary skills we need in our day-to-day activities, so that  youth will embrace skills and be trained, that is the only way to ensure sustainability in terms of employment in the country,” he said.

He said that the state government had commissioned a study which identified 24 trades which would offer gainful employment to the youth.

“That is why we decided to build an ultra modern skills acquisition centre in Kano worth N5 billion.

Earlier the Managing Director of PAN, Mr Ibrahim Boyi said the company was training the second batch of  trainees from the state, with the first batch having 75 participants and 150 in the second batch.

“The Governor during the graduation of first batch, promised that the second batch will include girls and women, and you can see clearly, the direction of the government in ensuring youth empowerment on inclusive bases, so that nobody is left behind.’’

Boyi assured the governor that PAN would give the students the best training they deserve.

Opinion: Immigrant women and what's left behind

left: Jessica Love, Nadine Malouf, Ana Reeder and Nicole Villamil in "queens" at the Claire Tow Theater in New York, Feb. 12, 2018. The characters in Martyna Majok’s new play come from Poland, Afghanistan, Honduras and elsewhere, but, illegal or not, they’re New Yorkers now.

For at least its first act, Martyna Majok’s new play “queens” — uncapitalized for unknown reasons — is a knockout. That’s literally the case in the opening scene, in which someone gets punched in the face.

The next 60 minutes or so keep delivering cold-cocks of emotion and surprise as Majok sets up her story.

It takes so long because the canvas is so large, eventually encompassing 16 years during which 11 immigrant women at various points come to live in an illegal basement apartment in capital-Q Queens.

The women are as different as their countries of origin: Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, Afghanistan, Syria, Honduras. But all are escaping a “situation,” or hunting for a person who escaped one earlier.

In the case of Inna, the first woman we meet, it’s both. Her mother left her as a child in Odessa, Ukraine, and has not been heard from since. The only clue to her whereabouts is a photograph of her standing in front of the building where most of “queens” takes place.

Did she, like the others, take refuge there? Or did she disappear forever into the maw of America? As Inna tries to unearth the answers she gets trapped in a situation of her own.

Majok is herself an immigrant, born in Poland. Her breakthrough play, “Ironbound,” produced at the Rattlestick in 2016, prefigured “queens” in dealing with the double disruption of being a woman who ventures, or is forced to flee, beyond the familiar discomforts of home.

More recently, in the excellent “Cost of Living,” seen at Manhattan Theater Club in 2017, disability stood in for geographical and cultural alienation. In that play, two characters chafe against the way that a wheelchair, like color or language, can be a marker of disfavored status within the larger, normative society.

But “queens,” which opened Monday in an LCT3 production at the Claire Tow Theater, is even more ambitious, if not as successful. When Inna (Sarah Tolan-Mee) arrives at the basement in 2017, the landlady, a Polish immigrant named Renia, recognizes her as someone who might be her own daughter, or herself. In a long flashback, we meet Renia (Ana Reeder) on the day she showed up in 2001 in desperate need. From there the story branches farther and farther afield.

Much of the first act, which establishes the play’s fractured chronology, takes place as that younger Renia is provisionally welcomed into a polyglot ménage that includes icy Pelagiya (Jessica Love), tight-lipped Aamani (Nadine Malouf) and furious Isabela (Nicole Villamil). Isabela is packing her bags before returning to Honduras, where her daughter is waiting and her mother is dying. It is typical of Majok’s wit and empathy that Isabela evaluates each item of clothing not in terms of dollars but in terms of the number of low-wage hours it took to earn — and the number of hours away from her daughter it represents. A sweater that cost two hours is too dear to leave behind.

The women are hilariously wary of the United States, of one another and especially of Renia, who won’t share her story. Still, the movement of the first act is from mistrust and recrimination to solidarity. When the roommates change into clubbing clothes to toast Isabela with whatever sad staples they can scrounge, the lamest farewell party ever becomes, briefly, one of the most joyous.

Playing both ends of the scale like that is a distinctive trick Majok uses to release emotion without sentimentality. These women are tough, and not in a glamorous way: Their expectation of mistreatment is no pose and no metaphor. They are angry at the world yet nurture that anger, recognizing that in it may be the beginning of progress. Certainly there is no progress without it.

This makes for thrilling writing. But as the play further complicates its story in the second and third acts, it loses control of its effects. We are offered too much information for the frame to contain, even if it’s vital: How Inna got from Ukraine to Queens after a six-month stop as a potential internet bride in Florida; what brought Renia to the basement and how she becomes its landlady. New characters come and go as well, their identities and stories blurred because they are played by the same actors who played the previous ones. After seeing “queens” and reading the script carefully I was still confused by many plot points.

Confusion can be salient, of course, in plays about confusion, whether moral or existential. But “queens” isn’t squishy that way, so its confusion is subtractive. It may in fact be the result of cutting to keep the production under three hours. (The timing of the acts is lopsided.)

If so, I think Majok would have done better to expand her scope rather than contract it. The material is so important, so ripe and so multi-stranded that it might have been better off as a marathon or a miniseries. Squeezed into its current shape it can do little more than check the boxes on its trenchant to-do list.

This puts excess pressure on the production to provide coherence, but Danya Taymor’s direction opts for suggestiveness rather than clarity. The powerful set design by Laura Jellinek — dominated by a vast ceiling that lowers and lifts over the stage to create feelings of containment and freedom — is more successful in sculpting moods than in defining space or telling the story. (You are never sure where the doors to this basement are.) Action specified in the script is not always clear onstage: a problem of focus. And the fine performances, especially by Reeder and Tolan-Mee, dissipate under the excessive dramatic pressure.

For all that, “queens” is still a notable work, or maybe several. It strikes at the heart of the immigrant experience, which is often unfair, one way or another. “You? Are lucky,” Renia tells one of the women. “Which means that maybe other people: not so much.”

Welcome to America.

Politics: Gary Cohn is making a desperate effort to stop Trump's trade war before it starts

cohn trump

Gary Cohn and other White House officials are trying to get President Donald Trump to soften his new tariffs on steel and aluminum.

  • Gary Cohn and other White House officials are trying to convince President Donald Trump to soften his new tariffs.
  • Cohn helped schedule a meeting between Trump and business executives whose companies will be hurt by the new tax on steel and aluminum imports.

A group of White House advisers is making a list-ditch effort to blunt the impact of President Donald Trump's newly announced steel and aluminum tariffs.

Gary Cohn, the director of the National Economic Council and former Goldman Sachs executive, along with a group of officials in the White House and Treasury Department are attempting to convince Trump to reconsider the tariffs according to a new report from Politico's Ben White, Andrew Restuccia, and Nancy Cook.

According to the report, Cohn organized a White House meeting with Trump and executives from industries that could be hurt by the tariff, which is essentially a tax on imports. These executives would be from businesses that use steel and aluminum that could see costs rise as a result of the trade restriction.

Industries from canned food manufacturers to car companies have warned that the increased cost of metals could hurt their businesse and in the worst case lead to layoffs.

Many economists have warned that the new tariffs could end up being detrimental to the US economy. A new study from The Trade Partnership, a consulting firm, estimated that the tariffs could cost the US economy 146,000 on net.

Going beyond steel and aluminum, there is also growing worry that retaliation from other countries — including US allies like Canada and the European Union — could trigger a trade war.

According to the report, Cohn and the other advisers are not relying on economic data to win over Trump since he is skeptical of economists in general. Instead, they are pointing to the stock market swoon following the tariff's announcement and backlash from GOP lawmakers to argue that Trump should soften the policy.

The group also does not expect to totally win Trump over, but instead to craft a softer final policy.

Cohn and company's attempts at softening the blow from the tariffs also continues a long-standing feud between the more free trade-focused advisers and officials like Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross and White House National Trade Council Director Peter Navarro who want increased barriers to trade.

Additionally, the move comes after reports that Cohn was considering leaving the White House after failing to block Trump from imposing the tariffs in the first place.

Tech: Bumble is removing all the photos of people with guns in its dating app

Bumble CEO Whitney Wolfe

There will be exceptions for law enforcement and military personnel, but any other photos of guns will be removed from the Bumble dating app.

  • Dating app Bumble will start banning photos with guns or knives in them.
  • The ban does not apply to users in the military and law enforcement who are in uniform.
  • Users will have the option of appealing to get individual photos reinstated.

Dating app Bumble is joining the list of companies that have distanced themselves from the promotion of guns in the wake of the deadly school shooting in Parkland, Florida.

Bumble announced in a blog post on Monday it will begin to ban photos that include guns or other dangerous weapons like knives. Entire profiles will not be banned, but individual photos will be taken down. The new policy does not apply to users in the military and law enforcement who are in uniform, the company said.

"As mass shootings continue to devastate communities across the country, it’s time to state unequivocally that gun violence is not in line with our values, nor do these weapons belong on Bumble," the blog post says.

Bumble, which was created as a "female-first" dating app, has taken a similar approach to moderating hate speech and inappropriate sexual content with a zero-tolerance policy.

5,000 moderators will search through every new and previously uploaded photo and remove any that don't adhere to the new guidelines, The New York Times reported. Eventually, Bumble will filter out mentions of guns in written content as well, Whitney Wolfe Herd, Bumble's founder and CEO, told The Times.

Herd also acknowledged that the issue of gun ownership is a gray area and the new policy could potentially affect users who don't endorse violence, like gun hobbyists and professional sport shooters. In these cases, she tells The Times, users can appeal to have their photos reinstated.

Bumble also announced it is giving $100,000 to March For Our Lives, a protest for stricter gun control being organized by the survivors of the Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School shooting last month that left 17 students dead.

Finance: Volkswagen reveals a stunning self-driving concept car that doesn't have a dashboard, steering wheel, or pedals

Volkswagen's I.D. Vizzion points toward the future of the automotive industry.

Volkswagen's I.D. Vizzion has Level 5 autonomy and can be controlled with Microsoft's Hololens augmented reality glasses.

  • Volkswagen revealed the I.D. Vizzion concept at the Geneva International Motor Show on Monday.
  • The car has Level 5 autonomy, which means it is capable of driving itself in all situations without any human assistance.
  • The I.D. Vizzion also has a 111 kWh lithium-ion battery and a two-motor, all-wheel drive system that packs 302 horsepower and has a range of 413 miles per charge under the European testing system (which can produce inflated results).

As Volkswagen prepares to launch its I.D. series of electric cars in 2020, the company unveiled the I.D. Vizzion concept at the Geneva International Motor Show on Monday. While Volkswagen has not announced concrete plans to make a production version of the I.D. Vizzion, its electric drivetrain and self-driving technology point toward the automotive industry's future.

The car features a 111 kWh lithium-ion battery and a two-motor, all-wheel-drive system that packs 302 horsepower and has a range of 413 miles per charge under the European testing system (which can produce inflated results).

The I.D. Vizzion's most striking feature is its Level 5 autonomy, the highest level of autonomy in a self-driving car, which means the car is capable of driving itself in all situations without any human assistance. As a result, it doesn't have a dashboard, pedals, or a steering wheel. Instead, passengers would control it through voice and gesture control systems, and would have the option to use Microsoft's Hololens augmented reality glasses if they own a pair.

AI technology allows the car to learn its passengers' preferences on climate, entertainment, lighting, and seating preferences. Volkswagen also indicated that passengers can control scents that are pumped through the car's interior.

In a press release, Volkswagen says the I.D. Vizzion is "a vision of what may be possible by the year 2030," so don't expect to see this exact version on the road anytime soon. But the company does plan to release a production version of the vehicle by 2022, and also plans on production versions of the I.D. compact car, I.D. Crozz crossover, and the I.D. Buzz, which is a reboot of the company's iconic minibus, in the next five years.

Take a look at Volkswagen's renderings for the I.D. Vizzion and its features below.

Tonto Dikeh: Actress will choose food over sex

Tonto Dikeh is playful, emotional & raw in new teaser for King Tonto

Poko baby shared a photo of her meal at the time, and we just might understand what she means.

Tonto Dikeh is a self-proclaimed foodie, going by her latest post on Snapchat.

The Nollywood actress revealed in a post she shared on the photo and video sharing app that she prefers food to sex.

ALSO READ: These are the 7 most controversial celebrities of 2017

Just how deep does one's love for food have to go, for them to willing to let go of sex for it?

Well, she shared a photo of her meal at the time, and we just might understand what she means.

This could be another golden nugget in the list of things that makes Poko tick but then again, it could also another bid to get herself to trend in the media.

We already concluded that the controversial actress has the complete manual for staying in the media.

Tonto Dikeh

It might be time for every entertainment publication to create a separate segment for Tonto, because like it or not, not hearing or reading about her is becoming nearly impossible.

In January, Tonto entered the news with reports that she is undergoing body enhancement surgery, specifically breast and butt enlargement procedures.

This marks Tonto’s 2018 debut in the news, But if your memory serves, young Poko, or whatever she goes by these days, has managed to an important part of the gossip and rumour mill for the better part of the last decade.

Nigerian celebrities make their coin off how relevant they manage to be.

For Poko, in a space where the people who give you a nickname today can forget your actual name tomorrow, Tonto has secured the manual for staying in the conversation.

Tonto Dikeh: The Brand

A big part of Tonto’s news relevance is the fact that she has dipped her hands in everything.

In 2006, she made her major movie debut as a bright-eyed, baby-faced love interest in “Tea or Coffee”. Her entry into Nollywood coincided with the death of the home video market and the berth of Nollywood as a major pan-African product.

Never afraid to take on heavily sexualised roles or play the bad girl, Tonto quickly became a sex symbol. But even that was only the beginning.

After acting in tons of movies, she decided to try her hands at music, with the 2011 release of “Hi” and “Its Ova”. Those songs portrayed her in a different light and spurred a new wave of conversations.

For weeks, Tonto was the main topic on social media. Her songs mostly inspired negative comments (the songwriting and her vocals were demoralising, to put it mildly) but she also scored memes, jokes, parodies, articles and more.

Tonto’s music career was short-lived (even though she signed on to D'banj's DB Records for a brief spell), but since then, we’ve heard of her doing different things; she’s dabbled in fashion, philanthropy, female rights activism, and now with the launch of her show on Linda Ikeji TV, reality television is a part of that list.

Controversy has followed Tonto through all her major endeavours in a way that a fair share of Nigerians, with what appears to be our insatiable appetite for bad news, are always interested to see what she’s up to at any given time.

One of her first major scandals came in 2011 when she acted in several raunchy roles in the movie “Dirty Secret”. Nollywood was at the time, considerably conservative and her performance in the movie split the movie industry and fans in half.

But Tonto has managed to keep her popularity on the rise, never mind the things that are said about her on the media.

Sports: The NBA is working on a plan that would allow the best high school basketball players to skip college

Adam Silver

The league also wants to do a better job of connecting with top young prospects and helping them get emotionally and physically ready for the pros.

  • The NBA has been working for a while on a way to allow players to not only skip college, but to work with young players and help prepare them for life in the pros.
  • This is an issue that has taken on new importance with a major college basketball scandal breaking out, and a new plan could be presented within months.
  • The league was at one point considering setting up European-style development academies, but that idea has been scrapped.
  • Expanding the developmental G League is an option.

With college basketball in the midst of a massive scandal over illegal payments, the NBA looks ready to take steps to end the one-and-done rule and allow elite prospects to skip college, according to ESPN writer Brian Windhorst.

Windhorst writes that Silver has been gathering information about how to fix the one-and-done rule for months, but this most recent scandal in college basketball has given the issue renewed urgency. Silver could present a plan as early as within the next few months, per Windhorst.

The league aims to develop a plan which will go beyond simply allowing top prospects to enter the NBA at age 18, but to actually get involved with players in the high school years and help them develop into NBA-ready players.

"We are looking at changing the relationship we have with players before they reach the NBA," one high-ranking league official reportedly told Windhorst. "This is a complex challenge, and there's still a lot of discussion about how it's going to happen, but we all see the need to step in."

At one point the league had seriously considered letting teams set up their own academies for developing young prospects, like how European soccer clubs develop players, but ultimately decided against that idea.

Instead, Windhorst writes, the league is looking at how it can connect with prospects in high school, and " . . . bring in some of its experts to advise high-level prospects on training methods, recovery, nutrition and life skills. All this in addition to providing professional coaching and playing techniques that could better translate to the professional game and make the eventual transition to the NBA, G League or even high-level college basketball easier."

Expanding the G League and making it a more lucrative option for young players, an idea touted by LeBron James, who is also a vice president of the player's union, is also a possibility Windhorst mentions.

Ultimately, it appears the league is serious about giving elite prospects an opportunity outside of college basketball, while working to ensure that they are physically and emotionally mature enough for pro basketball before starting their careers.

Mazadu Bako: NNPC to resume oil exploration in Nasarawa State – Official

NNPC says N774m is spent daily on fuel subsidy

Dr Mazadu Bako, the General Manager, Frontier Exploration Services of NNPC, made the disclosure on Monday in Lafia, during a courtesy visit to the Deputy Governor, Mr Silas Agara.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) says it is set to immediately resume oil exploration activities in Nasarawa State.

Dr Mazadu Bako, the General Manager, Frontier Exploration Services of NNPC, made the disclosure on Monday in Lafia, during a courtesy visit to the Deputy Governor, Mr Silas Agara.

Bako said that oil exploration activities in Keana Local Government Area and other parts of Benue Inland Basin were temporarily suspended in January.

He attributed this to the killing of one of the NNPC personnel by suspected herdsmen in the wake of the recent attacks of farmers by herdsmen at the Benue/Nasarawa border.

According to him, NNPC has been mandated by the Federal Government to resume the activities in order to increase its oil output.

Bako said that adequate security arrangements had been made to protect the lives of the workers.

He called for the support of the government and people of Nasarawa State for NNPC to achieve purpose of the project.

Receiving the team on behalf of Gov. Umaru Al-Makura, the deputy governor, expressed concerns over the unfortunate killing of the NNPC staff.

He pledged the support of the state government to enable the corporation to succeed on their assignment.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that NNPC had embarked on the exploration activities in Nasarawa State since 2017.

The corporation is doing this through one of its upstream subsidiaries, Integrated Data Services Limited (IDLS)
