The Ondo State government has accused the Peoples Democratic Party in the state of being envious of the achievements of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu in the last two and half years.
The government, in a statement by Donald Ojogo, the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, explained that it had earlier raised an alarm that blackmail machinery was going to be unleashed.
The government noted that the PDP’s recent attack on Akeredolu, was part of “that calendarised plot”, adding, “All the same, we need to understand that some envious outbursts are caused by certain underlying issues.
“In this particular case, it is not our fault that a group of persons are haunted by their collective inadequacy because most jealousy is rooted in feelings of inadequacy.
“Therefore, the feeling of inadequacy emerges as a reaction or solution to those feelings of undone things on the part of PDP.
“In this instance, we do not expect a group of persons, who for lack of capacity, mere desperation for power and profligacy, left so many things undone, to clap for Governor Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu when the people of the Ondo State are in common agreement that the face of infrastructure has changed.
“It will be uncharitable to think that some persons will wait to be reminded of their ignoble past when under Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, within two and half years, development has heightened unimaginably.
“Therefore, taking these tissues of lies to the undeserved ambience of reaction is to raise the bar beyond the display of unenthralling ignorance by the PDP,” the statement read in part.
The government, however, maintained that it would not consider any opposition content as inimical, stating that “it is part of democracy. Just as we continue to resist, as we have resolved overtime, the alluring temptation and pressure to look deep into the past, disallowing PDP a little space for their mindless shamelessness will be unkind on the part of the media. It’s not time to talk yet,” it added.

The Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, has expressed concern on the ability of the Electricity Distribution Company, operating in Egbaland to immediately translate the newly commissioned Transmission Facilities in Abeokuta and environs into a positive socioeconomic improvement of the people.
Oba Adedotun Gbadebo who was exchanging views with the Managing Director of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company, Engr John Ayodele, during the commissioning of the newly Electricity Facilities in Abeokuta noted that, although Abeokuta was the first to enjoyed electricity network supply in Nigeria since 1904, the supply cables still seemed to be those used more than a century and a half ago.
The Alake, therefore, wondered how the State Capital and other parts of Egbaland would benefit from the new sophisticated transmission system.
Oba Adedotun Gbadebo commended the efforts of the Federal Government on power generation but raised concern on the strives of Central Authorities not going to waste if the energies released were short-circuited by the apparent inability of DISCOS to get such to ultimate users at home and businesses.
The monarch, therefore, advocated for increased synergy between the Transmission Company of Nigeria, which generates power and Distribution Companies which take it to end users, who had been suffering from a sort of disconnect in the value chain of power supply in Nigeria.
He appealed to the Managing Director of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company, IBEDC, Engineer John Ayodele, to work hard in translating the new Power Generation facilities in the State Capital to immediate socioeconomic advantages to the residents of Egbaland and Ogun State, while in turn making money for the IBEDC.
In his response, Engr John Ayodele, told the Alake that IBEDC had been waiting for Transmission Company on Nigeria (TCN) to show seriousness on adequate and non-epileptic power supply before the IBEDC could invest.
Engineer John Ayodele argued that it would be business and economic suicide for the IBEDC to borrow money from banks to fix transformers and installed new cables where it was not absolutely sure of the power to distribute.
He however disclosed to the Alake that, now that the TCN had demonstrated that it had capacity to transmit regular supply of energy, IBEDC and other Distribution Companies would invest more and get the energy to homes and businesses.
Meanwhile, a Senior Engineer with the Transmission Company of Nigeria, Engr Victor Adewunmi had called on the Distribution Companies to take immediate advantage of the newly commissioned 2X60MVA, 132/33 KV Substation in Kobape, Abeokuta, by investing in new transformers and cables in order to supply power to their numerous customers.
Engr Victor Adewunmi, who spoke with newsmen on the side-line of the commissioning, explained that the 2X60 MVA Transformers would generate more than enough energy for Abeokuta and environs such as Odeda Sagamu, Mowe and Ibafo on a daily and regular basis.
He, however, pointed out that people in these areas would only enjoy the social and economic advantages of the newly commissioned facility, only if the Electricity Distribution Companies were ready and willing to put more money into supply cables and stepdown transformers.

Lagos – Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has condemned in its entirety, the attack on the former deputy senate president, Senator Ike Ekweremadu at the 2nd Annual Igbo Cultural Festival held in Nuremberg, Germany.
Ekweremadu who was attending as a speaker/special guest of honor at the event organised by the Ndigbo Germany community was reportedly beaten up and egged publicly.
While describing the attack as an embarrassment to the country, Dabiri-Erewa in a statement personally signed by her said, “According to reliable sources, some of the culprits who perpetrated the act have been apprehended and we call on the German government and law enforcement agencies to ensure that there are consequences for their actions.
“It is also shamefully pathetic that an event, which was nobly put together by the Ndi-Igbo community in Germany whose members make up the majority of Nigerians living in Germany, to amongst other things provide a forum for the Diasporans and various stakeholders to network and to facilitate a better cooperation between German and Nigerian businesses, ended up in such a disgraceful manner.
“We appeal to Nigerians to be of good behavior wherever they find themselves because such incidents tarnish the image of the country,” the statement added.

Condenms National Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),South East zone,Chief Austin Umahi, has condemned the attack on Senator Ike Ekweremadu by suspected members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in Nurnberg Germany.
In a press statement from his Media Office,Chief Umahi, frowned at the action of the group against Ekweremadu who he said has been on the forefront of the struggle against the marginalization of Ndi-Igbo in the Nigerian Federation.
The zonal Chairman said he was overwhelmed by surprise that some individuals could hide under the name of the proscribed IPOB to attack Ekweremadu after all his efforts as the leader of Southeast Senate caucus in the 8th Senate to secure the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the self aclaimed leader of the group, from detention.
He said for Senator Ekweremadu to have travelled to far away Nurnberg in Germany to attend the second annual festival and covention organized by Ndi-Igbo resident there, was a demonstration of his undying love for Ndi-Igbo which he has been exhibiting over the years.
Umahi urged Ekweremadu not to be discouraged by the attack; but to see it as one of the many sacrifices he has to pay in pursuit for justice and better treatment for Ndi-Igbo both within and outside the country.
He also called for the arrest and prosecution of the pepertrators of the dastardly act to serve as a deterrent to others.
He however, advised any individual or group that has any genuine reason to agitate, to do so, through the Southeast Governors Forum, the Ohanaeze Ndi-igbo and through other legitimate means within the Nigerian federation; rather than resorting to self help.

LAGOS – Lions Club International has unveiled its Governor for District 404-b2.
Lion Wesley Kafadiya, who was officially presented to the public at an event recently at Anchor Event Center, Ikeja, Lagos State, will lead the district for the 2019/2020 Lions Year.
Speaking at the event, he expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to lead the organisation, appealing for support, love and understanding from all the members of the club in order to offer more services to humanity.
Focusing on vision, safe environment, diabetes, pediatric and support for cancer patient among others, the district governor emphasised the need to complete the Lions Club Ophthalmology centre, at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals complex Ile- Ife, Osun State.

CALABAR – A 24 year-old computer science graduate of Madonna University, Reyumeh Bassey Ejue from Cross River State says he has been receiving threatening telephone calls and was physically attacked by some unknown men over his fictional write-up on the Chibok Girls saga that was published in a magazine – by name, ‘Red Fez publication’.
Ejue, who recounted his ordeal to some journalists in Calabar said he was attacked in Ogoja Local government in Cross River State by four unknown men that manhandled him. “I was beaten to a point of death. They only left on the roadside and ran away when some passer-by came for my rescue.”
His words, “On May 5, 2019, while on my way to visit a friend who resides in one of the streets in Igoli Street, Ogoja LGA of Cross River State, unknown to me that I had just walked into a bobby trap set by enemies.”
Ejue disclosed that months after the publication, he began to receive telephone calls with hidden numbers ordering him to step down the literary piece from the various social media platforms which he had shared the story link.
“The first caller accused me of insulting their Holy Prophet through the literary piece which was credited to me by the magazine. I tried to explain to the fellow that I did the writings with no intention to bring any one’s reputation to ridicule but strictly to inform. A fiction which portrayed the ordeal of the Chibok Girls’ while in the hands of their abductors,” he maintained.
According to the young man, when he was finally attacked in Ogoja, it was unbelievable to him. “When I managed to get home on the day of the attack, my parents got me to receive medical attention as a result of the beatings I received from the unknown men. We later traveled to Calabar where my parents took me to Navy Hospital Calabar for further medical attention and I am grateful to be alive.”
He said he reported the incident to the Police in Ogoja and his desire is to have his assailants fished out for punishment.
Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO in Cross River State Irene Ugbo while in a telephone interview advised the young man to make a formal complaint and stated that the Police will stop at nothing to ensure that those who foment trouble are fished out and brought to justice.

ABUJA – South-South youths chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday reacted to the allegation that some Bayelsa state governorship aspirants want to cause mayhem in the forthcoming primary.
The group, under the aegis of South South PDP Youth Vanguard, pointed out that the primary will be peaceful, but Governor Seriake Dickson has to allow for a level playing field, as they are the ones causing mayhem over the primary.
The South South PDP youths said that their attention was drawn to a statement credited to an unknown disgruntle group led by one Chief Jasper Timiebi, which specifically accused a former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Chief Ndutimi Alaibe, and Dr. Chris Osaisai, among others, of plotting to cause mayhem in the state ahead of the party’s primary on September 3.
In the statement, the unknown group, according to PDP youths, had claimed that Alaibe and others had devised a plot to cause premeditated violence and instability in the state with the intent to arm-twist national leadership of the PDP to move the primary to Abuja or the neighbouring Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The PDP youths, in a statement by its Chairman, James Efe Akpofure said “ordinarily we would not have reacted to the statement, but, because we want to set the record straight, we have to reply those, who are bent on manipulating the forthcoming Bayelsa state governorship primary.
“Recall that on Wednesday we cautioned the state governor, Seriake Dickson and the state Chairman, Mr Cleopas Moses, not to destabilise the party.
“Our warning came on the heel of a report that the state chairman, Mr. Moses had openly endorsed the candidate preferred by the state governor, Mr Dickson, a development that is generating anger among the PDP governorship aspirants in the state.
“We had also warned against therecentutterancesof thestate Chairman and the trending video of Governor Dickson, that the governor should not go the way of the former governors of Ogun and Imo States, who lost the last governorship elections because they wanted to foist their candidates on the people.
“We can see the hands of mischief makers in the allegation that Alaibe and others are trying to cause mayhem in the forthcoming primary, in a bid to move the primary to Abuja or the neighbouring Port Harcourt, Rivers State

YENAGOA – The Bayelsa State government under Governor Seriake Dickson on Friday said it had finally completed repayment of the N50 billion bond secured by the administration of former Governor Timipre Sylva.
Mr. Maxwell Ebibai, the Commissioner for Finance, disclosed this during the monthly transparency briefing for the months of June and July, 2019 at the Treasury Building in Yenagoa.
Ebibai was flanked by his counterpart in charge of the Ministry Information and Orientation, Mr. Daniel Iworiso-Markson, and the state’s Accountant-General, Mr. Eniekezime, at the event.
The Council of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) approved the N50b bond with a total value of N104billion for the Sylva administration in July 2010 with repayment to end in 2017.
In June 2016, the Governor Dickson-led government approved the restructuring of the N50b bond to 2019 instead of the 2017 it was earlier scheduled to terminate.
Since the state government floated the bond, the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) had been deducting at source over N1billion per month from Bayelsa State’s revenue allocation.
Ebibai said the government offset the N50b bond in the month of July 2019, stressing that repaying it was painful to the government but it had to take up the responsibility to defray the financial burden.
He further said that there was nothing wrong for a government to undertake deficit financing, adding that the most important thing was what it was used for.
Announcing the total FAAC deductions for July as N1, 125, 222,000, the Finance Commissioner said “If you notice, there is some reduction from our FAAC deductions if you compare the months of June and July.
“In the month of June, our deductions was N1.54b. In the month of July our total deductions was N1.125b. So, we have approximately about N421 million difference in the FAAC deductions.
“That report shows that the state has completed the repayment of the bond that was taken by the previous government and it is our ongoing concern as a government to carry the assets and liabilities of every government.
“We have taken that responsibility painfully and we are done with it. There is nothing wrong with a government deciding to do deficit financing. There is nothing wrong with that. So, painfully we are done with the repayment of the bond and we put that behind us as a state.”

Spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Lagos State chapter, Joe Igbokwe, has described himself as a Nigerian and not belonging to any ethnic group.
Igbokwe, who stated this yesterday at the House of Assembly during the screening of the last batch of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s cabinet-nominees, lampooned those he described as ethnic bigots.
He hinted that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) vice presidential candidate, Peter Obi, was the reason for the attitude of easterners in the state during the last general election.

Nigerians spend more time on social media than citizens of most countries, according to a survey conducted by Global Web Index, a market research company.
In the survey, 575,000 internet users aged 16-64 were interviewed across 46 markets.

A magnificent show of pomp and pageantry as the Housemates threw a grand reception for Tor Tiv Seyi.
It was all pomp and pageantry as a grand reception was held in honour of Seyi’s new title as the Tor Tiv as part of Heritage Bank’s Task. The Pepper Dem Gang showcased a rich variety of cultural heritage as they all gathered in the well-decorated Arena to celebrate of Seyi’s Tor Tiv title. With each Housemates representing the different geopolitical areas of Nigeria, it was a reception worth remembering. Earlier on Seyi was installed as the Tor Tiv in an elaborate celebration and this grand reception marked the end of the events slated for his coronation.
The Cultural Troupe
The grand reception had an amazing cultural troupe clad in the most colourful outfits in attendance. They displayed the best of dance moves to keep the Tor Tiv and his guests entertained on such a great occasion. An elated Tacha was so pleased with the cultural dancers that she immediately joined in the dance. Such moves! She was a natural.
Special Dignitaries in Attendance
The Pepper Dem Gang showed up dressed as famous Nigerian royalties and had words of praises for the newly installed Tor Tiv. Not only did the Housemates play their roles quite well, but they also provided a chance to learn a bit about history. Mike came as the Alaafin of Oyo, Diane as Queen Amina, Esther as Moremi, Frodd as the Obi of Onitsha, Sir Dee as the Emir of Kano and representing dignitaries from the Niger Delta were Venita and Joe.
Eat Till You Drop.
It was a buffet with the best delicacies fit for such a royal gathering. A cross-section of local delicacies and fruits that made the grand reception look more like a food festival. The Housemates had to their full and at some point were scared by the large portions left. “I am trying to force myself to eat more, but I think it’s dangerous,” Ike said midway through his meal. Enkay voiced the same fear but still wanted more. “You know when you are full, but you still want to eat,” she lamented as she shortly made her way to the fruits stand.
Free For All
Not knowing when next they’d have such sumptuous meals again, some of the Housemates secretly hid foods they planned on sneaking out. It was amusing watching Venita stuff food in her clothes as she carried on dancing as if nothing happened. Cindy also towed the same path, but a bit bolder. As usual, nothing gets past Biggie and being the generous Big Brother that he was, he gave the Housemates a free hand to pack as much food as they could, back into the House.

Just as they got ready for their Wager Presentation tonight, the Pepper Dem Housemates got up to what may seem like a lazy day.
While we had the sleeping Housemates, other members of the Pepper Dem Gang gave us some calm vibes this morning.
Couple Goals?
The Pepper Dem couple and cupid are definitely in the same group chat. They’ve seamlessly served couple goals to our screens in the past couple of weeks.
First, we had the Khadoni pair give us romantic goosebumps during their reconciliation session in the garden – where Gedoni helped Khafi take off her heels and gave her his slides for comfort instead, while he walked barefoot. Next, Frodd was found ironing Esther’s dress for her, while she went in to take a shower. Who else is loving their recent couple moments?
Earlier today, Ike revealed to Diane that Mercy’s fingers were sore, which made it difficult for her to wash her clothes. Just a second after, he was seen happily doing her laundry for her. Afterwards, Mercy came to join him to help rinse and spread the clothes, while she teased him about how his washing skills.
What’s your love language? In their relationship session with Esther, the new resident relationship counsellor unveiled what they both consider as their different love languages. According to Mercy, “it’s hard loving someone that doesn’t want to be loved”. In his defence, Ike said although he appreciates the fact that cooking for him reflects her love for him, it’s a little weird seeing someone love him this way.
“I want to love you and I do love you,” he said to seal the conversation about their tabled relationship matters.
There’s something amusing about listening to the Pepper Dem couples address their relationship issues, right? More like when food is prepared with love, everything seems better with a pinch of love in it and our Pepper Dem couple know this.
A Repentant Omashola
In his conversation with Jackye, Omashola said the House has shown him his strength as regards restraining from his smoking habits. He went ahead to mention how he sees Ike and Mike with cigars every now and then but he’s been able to resist the temptation to smoke. In his words, “outside the House, no smoking or drinking for me.”
In addition, he revealed that most of the Pepper Dem Gang members have been frustrating him of recent. For this reason, he has been trying to keep to himself more. He also said that he has been more conscious about his shouting escapades in the House. This was his response to Enkay who teased him about a possible reason his ex-girlfriend left him, after seven years of dating.
The Business Tycoons
Mike, Frodd and Gedoni had an insightful conversation about networking, creating business opportunities and everything that revolves around the business and entrepreneurial world. While at it, Gedoni did not fail to mention those who supported his business when he launched the brand and those who didn’t.

We can’t wait to see how their Wager Presentation goes. Hopefully, the announcement of an anticipated win lifts up the spirits of the Housemates.
With just nine hours left to the Wager Challenge, the Pepper Dem Gang had to prepare to showcase their talents. Which team will earn Biggie’s thumbs up and which team will starve all week? We’ll find out.
The Icons and Cruisetopia teams were Tasked to present a talent show, with every member of each family fully participating. In Biggie’s words, through the brief read out by HoH – Seyi, the talent show should be an entertaining and elaborate one.
With this in mind, the team with the most elegant, creative, diverse and unique showcase wins the presentation and by extension, this week’s Wager; in other words, no hunger strike for the winning team.
The Talent Warriors
Trust the Pepper Dem Gang to give us some drama while going through their Wager preparation.
First, the Cruisetopia team had to deal with Seyi and Mike’s inability to settle things amicably. As they brainstormed on what approach to take for the Task ahead, Seyi seemed to be uncomfortable with Mike’s unwillingness to follow his orders. On the other hand, Mike seemed to find Seyi bossy and commanding in the way he communicated to the team.
This prompted an angry Seyi to storm out of their rehearsal room and Mike who wasn’t fazed by this did not fail to tell the other team members, “I can’t work with overly sensitive people; if he wants to work out on the team, so be it.”
Again, the Icons gave out some drama just before they happily agreed on their Task direction for tonight. Cindy who felt she wasn’t being put into good use in her team, was quick to voice out her concerns. Unlike the heated argument between the members of the Cruisetopia team, the Icons quickly resolved Cindy’s worries and gave her a singing role for her to handle. This birthed a brighter-looking Cindy as she went about the preparation with the rest of the team.
The Naturalists
Like every other play, it was no surprise seeing those who would easily take the spotlights during the Wager presentation. These Housemates did not struggle to showcase their talents to the world even before presenting them to Biggie.
From Joe’s drawing and painting capabilities to Khafi, Elozonam and Enkay’s dancing skills, we reckon they’ll keep us glued to our screens with their talent presentations tonight. Oh did we mention Frodd’s cultural movement as he swiftly danced to Enkay’s drum rhythms?
Oh, we can’t wait to see the winning team get rewarded for their efforts tonight. May the best team win!
After putting up a brilliant performance in the talent showcase Task, the Icons won their Wager for the week.
Having put up a colourful and entertaining coronation for their Tor Tiv in yesterday’s Heritage Bank challenge, Housemates were yet faced with a more daunting Task – the Wager presentation. As is with every Thursday Task, the two teams – Icons and Cruisetopia had to come up with creative acts in any form and contest for the Wager. The losing team will be denied of their provisions for the week.
The Drills
In this Task, every member of each team must participate. The performance could either be done individually or in a group or even both. Also, unlike the previous Tasks in which Biggie always supplied the Housemates their props, this Task saw the Pepper Dem Gang creatively using available materials in the House.
Let The Show Begin
The Icons opened the floor with a beautiful acrobatic display. Then Sir Dee, Elozonam, Frodd and Ike impressed us with their chest-puffing and humming. It was dramatic. Next was the eloquent and lively Khafi who put up a spoken word performance about self-love. Then Elozonam came on board with some flexible dance moves amidst a little dramatic performance. And the most exciting of all was Frodd’s rap, and then at the point of his using an “F” word, we heard, “Housemates, freeze!”
Cruisetopia were the patriotic team as they stormed the stage with a national anthem. As usual, Mr Anchor Seyi set the tone for the presentation. Throughout their acts, Joe was seen in front of the stage drawing on a white cardboard. No one knew what he was up to until the curtail call when he displayed the result of his work which turned out to be the Nigerian coat of arms. To be able to come up with such a drawing within the shortest time was commendable. Isn’t that the talent Biggie wanted to see with the Task? There were moving spoken words by Venita, songs by Esther and Jackye and Mike’s tap dance. Despite the little fall out between Seyi and Mike, the Cruisetopia still did their best.
After the performance, Biggie asked each team to select a representative to defend their presentation and tell him why they deserved to win. Enkay and Seyi came forward for both teams and each explained how they were able to incorporate in their presentations all the ingredients required by Biggie.
In the end, for their exceptional blend of comedy, drama, songs and a great deal of teamwork, Biggie declared the Icons winner. The Icons jumped for joy knowing that they will have the privilege to shop and enjoy the week’s Wager. In addition, each member also got richer with 20 Bet9ja coins. Congrats to the winning team!
Cruisetopia won the Wager Task last week and this must have triggered the Icons to put in their best in this one. But we wonder if the Icons will sustain the win or give in to their ego and let Cruisetopia beat them to it.

Suhaila, daughter of Ibraheem El-Zakzaky, leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), says her father is suffering from lead poisoning which could result to his death.
In an interview with BBC, El-Zakzaky’s daughter said the cleric deserves to get proper medical attention.
“I am really worried… especially because of the lead and cadmium poisoning,” she said.
“His doctors say if he gets to a certain level his organs could start failing and that’s really scary because that means he could just die at any moment.”

MINNA – Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), on Thursday, distributed the sum of N3.8million to the next of kin of 10 officers of the Niger State Command who lost their lives in active service in the last four years.
The State Commandant, Mr. Philip Ayuba, disclosed this to newsmen at the Command’s state headquarters in Minna gave the names of the slain officers as Emeka Nwalozie, Sani Koko, Simon Audu and Haruna Shehu.
Disbursing the funds to family members of the slain officers, the Commandant said, “My command is deeply touched by the death of the officers who died while carrying out their statutory duties in a dignified manner and we raised the money to help their families”.
He gave the names of other officers who lost their lives in their places of primary assignment across Niger state as; Joshua Ali, Mohammed Yahaya, Kabiru Umar, Talatu Mohammed, Naomi Samuel and Asikele Yakubu.
“What we did was in line with the promise made by the Commandant-General of the NSDSC, Abdullahi Gana that wives and children of those who lost their lives on the line of duty will be recruited if they have the necessary qualifications and not above the required age limit”.
The Commandant described the late NSCDC officers as ‘men and women who were absolutely committed to their duties with no fear of contradictions’ and prayed God to grant their souls eternal rest.
The Commandant, however, sadness over the security situation in Niger state appealed to the public to continue to provide information to security agencies with the intents of tracking down criminals reminded all Nigerlites that issues of security should be everybody’s business.

In the footage, Jackye climbed on top of Mike in a playful manner, when Mike was in bed. Now a cross-section of Nigerians have reacted to a romantic moment.
It all happened after the Cruisetopia team lost their Thursday night challenge to the Icons.
Mike who was tired of playing Ludo game in the garden retired to his bed to sleep but Jackye was not happy about it and chased him to his bed.
