Snap shares pushed lower for a fifth straight session on Tuesday, touching a record low of $10.49 apiece. They've plunged about 20% since the social-media company reported a drop in users just more than a month ago.

On August 7, Snap beat on both the top and bottom lines, but said its number of daily active users fell 2% versus the first quarter to 188 million, missing the uptick to 193 million that was expected.

"While our Monthly Active Users continued to grow this quarter, we saw a 2 percent decline in our Daily Active Users," CEO Evan Spiegel said in his prepared remarks on the company's conference call.

"This was primarily driven by a slightly lower frequency of use among our user base due to the disruption caused by our redesign. It has been approximately six months since we broadly rolled out the redesign of our application, and we have been working hard to iterate and improve Snapchat based on the feedback from our community."

Snap's disappointing user metrics followed similar calamity from social-media peers Facebook and Twitter, which also saw their user bases erode in the wake of the fake news and censorship debate.

Social-media names will remain in focus this week as Facebook CFO Sheryl Sandburg and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey will testify Wednesday before the Senate Intelligence Committee. Then on Thursday, Dorsey will appear before the House Energy and Commerce Committee.

Snap shares were down 28% this year.

2019: Buhari will lose to PDP ― Mark

PDP, BuhariFORMER Senate President, David Mark, has picked the expression of interest and nomination form to contest for the presidential ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), confident that President Muhammadu Buhari will lose to the party in next year’s election.

Speaking to journalists moments after collecting the forms at the national secretariat of the party in Abuja on Tuesday, he observed that Buhari had become unpopular and this had become obvious to all.

Asked about his chances against the president if given the party ticket, Mark said: “My chances which are actually PDP chances against the current government, you can see what is happening for yourself. I don’t think anybody needs to preach that gospel anymore. If you can’t see it, you can perceive it. If you can’t perceive it, you can hear of it. It is obvious that the next election, PDP’s presidential candidate will win.â€

He said as long as the PDP had zoned its presidential ticket to the North, he was qualified to vie for it, saying that his wealth of experience gave him an advantage for the position.

He also asserted that his campaign represented the youth in consonance with the clamour for younger leaders in the country.

The three-time Senator stated: “The issue is that the party has zoned the presidential vacancy to the North. Whether you are from North East, North West or North Central, we are all northerners. And I think that that is what qualifies me in the first place.

“Secondly, I think I have something to offer. I got a wealth of experience in administration. And you recognise that I was also President of the Senate for eight years.

“So, I think I have garnered a lot of experience to be able to move the country in the direction that all Nigerians want. And that is the direction of prosperity, good economic policies, reduce the level of insecurity, get Nigerians to become very proud citizens, create job opportunities for the teeming youths and change the economy.

“Like I said, there are lots of young boys and girls working in my team who are very vibrant and who are very articulate and who know what they want. So, we are a focused team.

On the move for a consensus candidacy for the PDP, Mark opined that the important thing was for the presidential aspirants to realize that it was only one of them that could be the candidate in the end.

He added: “If we all agree. But all of us who have gotten the nomination forms now have to agree on that. Whether we get a consensus candidate or whether we go through the primary itself truly doesn’t make much difference.

“The important point is all of us must realise that there is only one person who can occupy that seat. And that power comes largely from God. Once God decides that this is the person, and the process through electing that person is free, fair, credible and transparent, we should all accept it.

The former Senate President said whatever the outcome of the party primary, he would not leave the PDP.

He explained: “Have you heard me before saying that no matter what happens, I will never leave PDP? I have said that too many times and I keep saying it, sounding like a broken record now in that process. But that doesn’t stop anybody from coming in to join the party.

“Now, PDP has become the party of choice. That is their only reason why people are coming. Nobody will leave a party that is good and go to another party that is not a party of choice. So, the mere fact that people are coming to PDP means that PDP is now the party to be if we want to make an impression on this country.

“Also, if a man comes to the party, he is an integral part of the party. And I think we should not bother too much about whether the man has been there for a long time or whether the man is coming. But that decision will be made by the electorates.

Meanwhile, former Sokoto state governor, Attahiru Bafarawa, has become the first PDP presidential aspirant to return his completed nomination form.

His campaign Director General, Senator Paul Wampana, who returned the form on his behalf to the national secretariat of the party on Tuesday, told journalists that Bafarawa did not believe in consensus candidacy and was only seeking assurances for a free, fair and credible primary.

Wampana said the more aspirants that were in the race, the better for the party.

He, however, expressed confidence that having learnt from its past mistake, the PDP would indeed create room for a credible exercise.

He said: “We are not against many aspirants. What we need is a level playing ground. The people will speak. It is the people we will listen to. Let there be free, fair and credible elections in this country. We have discounted the idea of anyone stepping down. The more the merrier.

Butt Stuff: Here's how to have anal sex that doesn't hurt

Here's how to have anal sex that doesn't hurt

A lot of people don't do the butt stuff due to pain, but it can be avoided.

So if you've never tried anal sex, you've probably been told it is going to hurt. And if you've seen it in porn, you apparently think it's a crazy acrobatic session.

However, let's remember that, despite public thoughts and porn's obsession with stretching ass limits, there is unlimited potential with ass play. Below are ways to enjoy anal sex without it being painful.

ALSO READ: Here's why putting stress on yourself to climax never works

1. Take it slow

Patience is the best virtue when it comes to anal sex. Everybody always wants to rush to dessert, even though we know we should enjoy the full meal first. However, slowing things down is one of the keys to eradicating pain during the anal sex sesh. When the ass is offered up, it can be hard to resist the temptation of getting right down to business. But, anal really shouldn’t be a quickie type of sex, so try to keep your excitement in check and let the bum fun progress slowly.

2 You can self-experiment

If you are curious about exploring ass pleasure, the best way to experiment is on your own, in your own solo sex bliss, before anybody else gets into your butt business. Start by reaching down while you’re already enjoying strong sexual feelings. It is important to get a lay of the land, a true idea of the shape and texture of the anus. Experiencing these sensations on your own will allow you to control the speed and depth of touch and penetration. You’ll be able to teach yourself how to relax your muscles, learn when to slow down when needed and get a sense of how far you think you can push yourself.

3. Lots of lubrication

When it comes to painless anal sex, you will actually need a lot of lube. Lube is the best friend of anyone who wants anything to do with your butt – and this includes you! This is because the anus does not have natural lubrication like other holes do. You really need to add some slippery stuff to the situation. Trying to penetrate your own or someone else’s bum without lube significantly increases the chances of anal tearing and pain.

Lagos teachers recruitment: Over 16,000 apply ahead of Thursday closure of portal

LagosNO fewer than 16,000 applications have so far been received by the Lagos State government for teaching job placement in the state-owned primary and secondary schools across the state.

This number as disclosed by the government official was received as of Monday’s night despite the slow application process, which is electronically-driven and due for closure this Thursday.

It will be recalled that the state governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, had early last month, directed the ministry of education to employ additional 2,200 teachers (1,000 for primary and 1, 200 for secondary) schools to augment the dearth of teachers in public schools in the state.

In compliance with the directive, the ministry had opened a dedicated online portal since Sunday midnight for interested candidates to file in their applications within four days the exercise would last.

However, many applicants have complained of their inability to log into the portal let alone complete their applications as required and now in fear that they may be denied of the opportunity to apply if the problem is not rectified before the closing schedule.

Our correspondent also attempted severally and at intervals on Tuesday to log into the portal (http://bit.ly/2wJfS1f) which is driven by the state’s ministry of science and technology but with no success. The system at every attempt complained of “invalid email or password, and please try again…

Reacting to the challenge, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Mrs. Adebunmi Adekanye, confirmed that her ministry was aware of the problem and urged applicants to be patient as the problem is being fixed.

She stated this in a statement made available to newsmen by the Deputy Director, Public Affairs unit of the ministry, Mr. Adesegun Ogundeji, saying it was expected that the portal would be busy, given the huge number of applicants to register at the same time.

But she assured that the back-end team was working to regularly decongest the traffic to allow easy flow of more applications.

“So, there is no reason for applicants to panic as they have up to this Thursday to send in their applications, she stressed.

Adekanye, however, reiterated that the entire recruitment exercise would be fair and transparent with applicants need not knowing anybody to be employed.

For Men: How to deal with sacking during sex

How to deal with sacking during sex

Sacking applies to the severe pain of being hit in the testicles.

Sacking during sex refers to the soreness of having your testicles beating against your sexual partner’s body.

It’s also important to note that getting the balls involved during sex can be a wonderful thing and even the swinging and bumping sometimes involved in positions like doggy style can be fun.

However, for some people, steadfast sacking during sex can cause problems varying from irritation to soreness. Extreme sacking could cause injury to the testicles purely through rough trauma.

ALSO READ: Here's how to make him cum by giving him blowjob

But if you are just fed up of listening to your balls hit against your partner's ass, read on for ways to deal with sacking during intercourse.

The first thing to do is getting the balls involved in other ways, either fondling them yourself during sex or asking your partner to help you with it.

You can also try switching positions so you’re not causing your balls to swing.

Sacking does happen mostly when you’re doing the doggy style and going at it pretty forcefully. So having your partner on top, spooning, or missionary will all keep your testicles from swinging.

A lot of men with lower suspended balls may experience sacking more. So if sagging testicles become frustrating or unbearable enough to cause you distress, it’s worth chatting with your general practitioner.

Also, aging has a lot do with sagging testicles, but low hanging balls can also be caused by something called a varicocele, which is the swelling of the veins around the testicles.

ALSO READ: Here's how to fuck like a porn star

Testicles will also hang further away from the body when the body is warm, as you need to keep your balls at the right temperature for sperm production, and will sit closer to the body when it’s cold. When you’re sexually aroused, your balls tend to move closer to your body too. Balls that sag excessively can be treated with scrotox or a scrotoplasty, which removes excess skin to make the sack tighter.

So if your testicles aren’t causing you any pain or discomfort, they’re fine the way they are. But if you experience regular sacking that’s causing pain, see your GP.

Russia warns Google against election meddling

Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny gestures during his trial at a Moscow courthouse on August 27, 2018. Russia on Tuesday said it has officially warned US internet giant Google against meddling in next Sunday’s local elections by posting opposition leader Alexei Navalny’s videos calling for mass protests.

Representatives of Russia’s electoral commission, the Prosecutor-General’s Office and the state internet watchdog at a meeting alleged Navalny uses Google’s services to disseminate illegal information and warned that the company may be prosecuted if it does not act to stop this.

A Google spokeswoman declined to give a specific comment, telling AFP in an emailed statement that the company “reviews all valid requests from government institutions.”

Central Election Commission member Alexander Klyukin said the commission had sent an official letter to Larry Page, the CEO of Google’s parent company Alphabet, regarding Navalny’s use of YouTube.

The fierce Kremlin critic has urged Russians to protest on September 9, when several Russian regions and Moscow elect regional and local officials.

Navalny is currently serving a 30-day sentence for violating public order laws during a protest earlier this year.

“Mr. Navalny buys the company’s advertising tools to publish information on YouTube about the mass political event on September 9, on the day of elections,” Klyukin said.

“We informed Google that such events on election day will lead to massive violation of the law” because political agitation is banned on election day, he said.

“Meddling by a foreign company in our election is not permitted.”

He called Google a “gigantic American company” and hinted that Washington uses it as an influence tool.

US officials have repeatedly warned about the dangers of Russian interference in upcoming elections and there is a full-scale probe underway into Moscow’s alleged role in the 2016 presidential election which brought Donald Trump to office.

– ‘Mouthpiece’ for illegal information –
The deputy chief of Russia’s internet watchdog Roskomnadzor, Vadim Subbotin, accused “foreign internet platforms” of disrespecting Russian laws and serving as a “mouthpiece for disseminating illegal information.”

He said Google-owned YouTube “acts as a link in the chain for propaganda of anti-social behaviour during Russian elections.”

He said “over 40” YouTube channels “constantly call for violating Russian law.”

“Certain parties interested in destabilising the situation in Russia attempt to attract internet users to illegal actions by providing unlimited opportunities on foreign internet giants like Google,” he said.

If Google fails to respond to official complaints, this will be seen as “de-facto direct intervention in Russia’s domestic affairs,” he said.

The officials discussed their grievances against Google during a meeting at Russia’s upper house of parliament.

Alexei Zhafyarov, an official from the Prosecutor-General’s Office, said it had sent an official warning to Google over the “inadmissibility” of violating Russian election law.

“This is a rather serious measure, after which they can be called to account,” including via criminal prosecution, he said.

Russia has long pushed for greater control of information published by Russian users on international platforms to curb political dissent and prevent terrorism.
